That is sweet photo. I do hope they plan/think about making dinah black canery. If series is a success.

Someone managed to get a photo of Amell and Cassidy on set.

Also lol at that person ****ing up Oliver's last name.

If The CW and Warner Bros. TV are going for a darker, more Jason Bourne-like and less Smallville-ish tone, as reported on IGN TV, they’ve done well in casting Stephen Arnell as Oliver Hudson, aka the Green Arrow. I’ve seen him twice now on set: once on the edge of Gastown during a west coast windstorm and today near the Gassy Jack statue. And my photos don’t do justice to how much he resembles a Jason Bourne-type action star. Of course I haven’t seen any of the fight sequences, but local actor and stunt coordinator James Bamford keeps tweeting about how kickass they are. And I’ve heard stories of people being shot through their eyeballs. We’re not in Smallville anymore.

Let's hope. But I'll believe it when I see it.

I like the idea of distinguishing it from SV and going darker actually suites GA a lot more so this is good news.

Yeah, and his mother will now be played by Goldie Hawn.

Did y'all like the version of Dinah they did in Smallville? I hated the makeup/mask they gave her. Now Zatanna......DAYUM they did a great job with her.

I hated the make up mask. It was an interesting concept but it could have been executed better. I know they were going for a Blade Runner vibe with her (at least that's what she reminded me of) but she just didn't fit in Smallville's world. For some reason the short hair didn't bug me like other fans. I actually dug it and it made sense as a disguise instead of the opposite.

I wish they had made her and Ollie a couple instead of him and Chloe

I prefer the outfit to look more like this. Cos the old Black Canary's fishnet look a little trashy. I'd much prefer her to wear something like that.

I think Smallvilles adaption was perfect and wouldnt mind seeing something similar. Though her current costume is just as good though it still needs some boots.

I think every fan feels that way but what can ya do? Smallville and it's change for the hell of it.

Eh. I dig it but I'm a bigger fan of the classic look. Then again that's probably just me thinking with the wrong body part.

Nice photo of amell and cassidy on set. As for hudson thing it probably was just stupid author typo and not knowing enough on green arrow. So don't fret over it. As for tone we already knew they want a darker/realistic tone for the show. Which works for what green arrow is. As how it will turn out we will see. I still hope they won't got all ultra realistic like nolan batman. That just makes it harder to make certain characters/events happen down the road if they like. I still rather make it a believeable world and presented as a normal place. But alien/magic/supernatural events can and do happen. Just folks don't see it every day and don't think its real. So they can play up like public alien/magic characters of the dcu haven't gone public just yet.

Something looks off about that new design. I think its because the upper body part doesn't match the lower body part. I see how they were trying to keep the fishnets incorporated, but with the design of the top half it doesn't work.

I like the way he did the upper body here, combined with the lower body of the new design I think it would work better. Even though there similar it took away that yellow trim around her chest and stomach area. If they wanted to keep that it feels like it should have been incorporated some way into the legs.

What's all this talk that was before, with Green Arrow can't go dark? Because Batman already went the gritty, realistic route with Nolan?
That style has already been used and won't work again?

But the oposite style have been used as well, and too many times. So how do certain people want the Arrow show to be?

Now another topic. First a quote:

Ralph Dibny, Jay Garrick, Alan Scott etc haven't yet been explored in live action. Could be nice if they were to be introduced in one version or another.

I think it was alright, with the exception of the short hair and crappy black face paint/mask.

She'll probably have some type of vocal collar technology that enables her to do the sonic scream.

You Don't think they'll have powers on this show? Was that said?

We have no clue. I hope they don't out right say no super powers/metas/etc... stuff. If this show is a success it would be wise to leave those areas open. So they can bring in events and characters. Like I said earlier they could just say maybe no metas/aliens have gone public. But there is legends/rumors of metas/magic/etc... but the normal everyday man doesn't think its real. That is the approach I like them to take.
