Green Arrow

Um, nope. Big, giant cover with him on it out there

Looking forward to seeing how the "reboot" reintroduces the character.

I'm just looking forward to the possibility of him being used well for a change. There just always seems to be something missing when he undergoes a relaunch. Some writers think he needs the fortune, so they find a way to get it back. Some think he needs to cut all past ties. Some think he needs to brood, and some think he needs to be back out there. There never seems to be one, solid characterisation for the guy

Don't forget he's back at Justice League.

I'm intrigued about how that'll play out. They say the League started 5 years ago in DCnU history, so presumably the main 7 start their solo careers not long before that. But what of the other 8 or 9 members we have in the present? Will GA just be starting out in present time DCnU? Will he have been around since the others but only join the League in the present? Will less of a poor comparison be made if he and Batman "started out" around the same time but only Batman helped form the League? Will Ollie be a team player, the more social vigilante in between Batman (universal respect) and Nightwing (genuine friendship with so many DCU'ers)? Or will he be gritty and easily angered from the start?

I think they wanna play the angle that he gets angry and kills something, because then you got Batman and Rich Man with actual flaws and different political views and what heroes should do to help people.

God I hope not. We've had the killing angle of Ollie. And better he have come back from the brink of death during his time on the island to never want to dish that out to anyone. And of course he be so good at what he does that he can make any shot and it'll be a take down but not a kill.

Yeah, I don't wanna see Ollie kill anyone anymore. Should be interesting to see what they do with him, though. Glad he's in the Justice League. :D

Looking forward to seeing how the "reboot" reintroduces the character.

From what I gather, Green Arrow is considered to be one of the Brightest Day characters and is not getting rebooted. J.T. Krul's run has been rather decently and stably and thus DC is not changing much with the character asides from the costume.

That's good to hear. I don't really want him hauling as much baggage as he has recently (though I've enjoyed the journey back to herodom through emotional upheaval), but I'd be a little afraid of a reboot just when the last few strings of in continuity history are being tied off with the out of continuity ones.

Glad to hear it. Definitely staying on my buy list.

By having him shoot arrows into corpses.

edit: Child corpses.

edit: With their limbs ripped off.

What. In the Name. Of Crap happened to Ollie's beard, his hood, the entire freaking image we were given for the DCnU?

And yet again, more classic art errors as far as archery is concerned. Why is the string twanging along the top of his arm? It would just hit and stop the shot dead. Editors - for god's sake do your job

I'm a big fan of the redesign as I really disliked the old costume. I also like how they removed that ridiculous facial hair as no one actually has that in this day and age. Looking forward to checking this book out, hopefully the writing is good as I think GA is one of those characters that a lot of great stories can be made from.

No one has goatees anymore? I know its technically a van dyke; but it's not like every goatee sporting guy has the same basic style.

Can't believe you hate the classic look! That's like saying real men don't have long hair nowadays so Thor should have a trim

^well if it was just a regular goatee then it would be fine, but that was some funky facial hair he had which no body has. Looking at the warriors three in the thor movie, Fandrals sporting that same facial hair and it looks funny. But they can get away with that since there from asgard and all. Being a billionaire I would think GA would have the least bit of sense or someone would tell him to drop that thing, lol.

I'm sure that's just the artists' weird interpretation. The first issue cover was normal.

I have a question. What is the most commonly accepted/used reason for the death of Oliver's parents? Someone with my sig should know this, but I am having a brainfart.

That facial hair looks like it belongs on a rat. Really weird looking. The rest of the look is good.

I would like a long sleeved, forest green shirt made of under armour type material under the vest. Just my two cents.
