Youre Cordially Invited to the Wedding of the Year.

The exact conversation took place while Kyle and Jade were putting out a fire in a burning building or something. One of the, like, eight or nine burning buildings that they put through the course of that book, so...not a great reference point:O. Anyway, they were about to make out again or penetrate or whatever and one of them's like, wait, "Jade and GL can't be seen doing this."

Fatality's an alien who's pretty unconcerned with the personal lives of her Green Lantern prey (unless she's trying to seduce John Stewart for some reason) and I remember Major Force figured out his identity in the first place anyway, way back in the heydays of Kyle's origin. I don't remember what happened with Sonar...but I doubt Kyle let him see his face on purpose or anything.

As for Guy and John Stewart, well, they hang out with a lot of people. I don't think the general public expects everyone who walks into Warrior's to automatically be a superhero. And John Stewart was even lower-profile than Kyle...he wasn't a GL for that long, was known as "the black one" when he was, and wore a mask for some of that time anyway. Afterwards he was just a Darkstar in space. When he took over for Kyle, most people weren't even aware that he was a Green Lantern before.

Radu just worked it out over the course of the years by himself. I don't think there was any once specific incident that he ever mentioned that made him go, "Damn! You're Green Lantern!"

I could've sworn I've seen Kyle change into his civvies in full view at least once. Could easily be wrong though. Lord knows those Green Lanterns don't do much with the whole secret identity thing.

EDIT
Well... looky here: http://premium1.uploadit.org/saintfish//JLA-61-pg05.jpg
I was right.
Yeah, I remember that now. The answer, I'm sure, is MINDWIPES.

Utter unapologetic thread derail...COMPLETE!

Yeah, anyone thinking she isn't going to say yes is kidding themselves. Sure, it'll be a major step backwards for Dinah, but hey...

I don't think it'll be a step backwards. I really would like the Green Arrow book to have the family feel that it had in Smith's and Meltzer's run.

Not a step backwards? Even though pretty much every title Dinah has been in for the last few years (JSA, BoP) had her being over Ollie? Even though it was shown in the last JLA arc that the love was mostly friendly now?

have you read any of these titels? hell she left the JSA because Ollie came back! and even Gail herself (Gail is GOD! after BOP #104) has made it clear during her time with dinah that there is still love.. but (as of BOP #88) she didnt want to be with him, and that was over a year ago! (both in real life and in the DCU) now if we look at BOP #100 and the part in the back with Dinah and Sin, made by the guy's thats dooing the mini you will se that Dinah is werry mutch still thinking ALOT about ollie..

ohh and the who living thing.. we still dont know where dinah and sin moved to.. thou BOP#100 somewhat hints that its Star city

Yes, I did read those titles actually. Gail made it damn clear that although there was love, Dinah didn't ever plan on going back to him again, because it wasn't that kind of love anymore. Of course she thinks about Ollie a lot. Hello, first real and devastating love? Of course you think about that kind of thing.

As for what Dinah actually said:
"I miss a lot of things. But whatever made want to be with you... that bit, it's eclipsed right now. Maybe forever."

She was still pissed over the fact that Ollie cheated on her, and yes, she left the JSA when he came back (gee, your first love comes back from the dead... what do you do!?). Please, Gail has worked pretty hard at showing that Ollie is still a big factor in her life, but not one that she would actually marry.

Shes obviously going to say yes. At least by the end of the mini. Why the hell would they make this "team" book if they weren't together?

The way I see it, it makes for more drama and angst if they're together but there's the tension that she refused the marriage. Or that she accepted but with a protracted wedding day to see how things go before going through with it. Of course, they could always go with the "what the hell are we doing?" angle and constantly have them doubting their decision about starting a family life while their hero life gets in the way. I still think she'll say no; but, either way, I don't see it as a lovey dovey family life.

I see DC pushing it like Marvel pushed Storm and Black Panther.

Connection is there, but it's not a steady flow between them.

Yes, Dinah is suggested that she's going to move to Star City, but I highly doubt it's just for Ollie. Mia has almost always been like a daughter/young sister to her, and then there's Roy, and we know for a FACT that her favorite 'niece' Lian is there. Dinah also has a tentitive relationship with Connor.
They are her family, it stands to reason she'd place Sin in the closest proximity to a family group that she could.

I'm praying that DC will be smart enough to allow Dinah to say 'no', sure it's passe and she did it once before, but third times the charm, and while Ollie is sorry *as shown in BoP* perhaps it will give her the time to 'finish' healing, and him the time to prove he's not such a jerk, which if DC is going to pursue this is what needs to happen.

It can't be a 'shock/awe' thing, it has to be gradual, like everything else between Ollie and Dinah has been for the last year or so.

With that in mind...

Pieter and Dinah forever!

ohh come on... everyone know that Dr. Mid-nite is going to end up with Ice..

ohh and i want Gail to take over Dan Didio's job.... YAY!

Yeah, Ice needs to hook up with Guy Gardener.

...

you're not getting the inside joke darling.

what? what im i not supposed to get?
yes Ice and guy have a past .. ice is the only one that brings the nice side of guy out..

but i dont think you got what i said so HA! ... (long story short.. their both norwegians..)

Storm and Black Panther? Yes, one of DC's most iconic couples is just like a "relationship" built on one team up backup story from the 80s and a forced marriage that makes no sense in the slightest other than to have a token black couple. :whatever:

honestly.. did storm and black panther even meet before the wedding? :P

They were pen-pals.

honestly.. did storm and black panther even meet before the wedding? :P

Like I said, once. In an 1980 Marvel Team-up BACK UP story. :whatever: How anyone can call MJ and Pete's marriage a stunt then pull this **** is incredibly ******ed.

Twice. Storm und Drang arc in Priest's Black Panther where T'Challa opens up to her and they also kiss. The history's there, the wedding just needed a bit more build-up.

Is that the same one that was 2 issues of X-Men and 2 issues of BP? If not, then there's those also.

No, that was the crossover arc just before the wedding, by Hudlin. I'm talking about a Priest arc from quite a bit back.

If I recall, Ollie isn't father-material (remember the debacle with Roy, which stems my extreme hatred of Green Arrow?).

I think Dinah would say no just for the principle that she now has a daughter to care for. Maybe the thing that causes the ripple through DC is the fact that where everyone expects her to say YES she says NO.

That shows how mutch you havnt read of Green arrow from longbowhunters and on..

its still eating away at Ollie that he punched Roy and threw him out, and dinah know this..
not only has he goten ALOT! closer to Roy but also Connor (his son) and hes aken in a kid with a hell ovalot more problems then Roy ever had..
