Green Arrow

That's the fella. It's a short appearance and he's redesigned to look like Anthony Kiedis in the '80s.

Damned revisionist! I guess I'll go back to see the real Count Werner Vertigo in my 70's Batman comics. Too much of a purist for this crap. First they made The Joker into Johnny Rotten, and now we get Werner Vertigo as a Red Hot Chili Pepper. Oh well. I guess I won't be following DC (or Marvel) continuity for a good long while!

Is it just me or is the art startin to get kinda annoying. This past issue I had a hard time concentrating on the story through all the "art". It was distracting.

I love the art. Even if the story sucked I'd buy it for the art alone.

so Diggle has made his comic debut now.

Sure has. I didn't know it was coming so it was a surprise. Seems like a very organic introduction too. Looking forward to learn more about this Diggle in next months ish.

Speaking of which, how amazing is the cover for GA 25. Poster worthy.

I haven't been reading Green Arrow since the #0 issue, but isn't it better than ever now in terms of writing quality since Lemire came on? Why would you only buy it for art?

Yeah. The art is my least favorite aspect, and the art is ****ING GREAT.

Can't wait for the Outsiders War starting in 26. I really want to see more of Richard Dragon too.

Diggle!!!! That was totally unexpected and so awesome!

The scene in this recent issue where he is on diggle's couch was the closest we've had to seeing Pre New 52 Ollie. He seems worried about societal issues not just cracking heads and going on adventures.

Saw this Thread so i had to Reply. Im an older Collector i come from the grain of Neal Adams with Oneil on Gl/GA, also i have to say i liked Year one, also very partial to Kevin Smith with Quiver and the Sounds of Silence story lines. My overall favorite being the Mike Grell run, including The Longbow Hunters, NOW as for the New 52, i have to say i LOVE the Lemire story, but the sorentino art and depiction of Ollie as a kid, i just cant stand. I want old Ollie with the Goatee, i mean look at how gritty he was in BRIGHTEST DAY, it was good, i collect GA for the story but i really hope the art gets better, and they get rid of the kid.

Yea dude, Lemire is straight killing it! First with Animal Man and now this. Sad that Animal Man is ending at 29 though. This Green Arrow run has been just so good

Have they shown Ollie and Roy together yet?

sorry if its been mentioned

Ummm I haven't read the entire GA run in the new 52 so far, just Lemire's run but they did meet up in Red Hood and The Outlaws

So I hear that Green Arrow 17 is just as good as a Green Arrow 1. Is that true? Do you not need to read the first 16 issues (and the 0 issue) at all?

Yea I haven't read the first 16 at all. Lemire's run starts at 17 so you're all good

Lemie's run is simply fantastic a nice mix of noir/crime and mysticism. Truly one of my favorite books that's in my pull list. The outsider war got off to a great start and I can't wait to see what Lemire has in store for of it

Has Lemire done anything else in the New 52 aside from this an Animal Man? Both have just blown me away I really wanna check out more of Lemire's work now.

He wrote Frankenstein too.

And I think he did the Kid Eternity one-shot.

Aww ****! Damn you Lemire! This book is killin me! Can't wait for next month

Such a great issue. Easily one of the most underrated comics on the shelves
