"Green Lantern/Quasar"

Something that might be fun, which has been done a million times, name a DC or Marvel character, then somebody can name a character from the rival company that is equal-in or more powerful the the other character. Its not about who would win in a fight, its more about power comparison and it's also not about rip-offs .

An example would be if somebody named Green Lantern, I wouldnt try and name somebody that I think could beat GL, but somebody who has similar powers and is more powerful than or at least equal-in power to Green Lantern. I would name Quasar, now whether Quasar could truly beat Green Lantern, that is up for debate. Also, lets not care about hero or villian, if I were to list the Incredible Hulk, you dont have to be locked into choosing another hero, go ahead and choose a villain.

Also, I think DC lacks tankers like the Hulk, but I also think Marvel lacks certain types of characters like Green Lanterns. You could say telekinetics and other characters like Invisible Woman and Songbird could fill those roles, but that is also up for debate, which is fine, cause that is what we are talking about.

If anybody is interested, name a character.

So based off of powers, not personality, which characters would you choose to compare with these Marvel characters. Basically who would you choose from DC to make the DCAvengers?

Quicksilver/Flash ain't really a good one since the one has an entirely different level of superspeed.

I always thought Captain Marvel would be a good matchup against Thor, since both are basically Superman-class but mythologically powered. Also, control over lightning!

DC generally just gives those characters a whole mess of powers to go along with the superstrength.

Id say Quicksilver and flash are a good comparison, cause what i suggested is not about who is faster or more "powerful", its just who is this companies version of that companies character "power-wise".

Flash and Quicksilver are both companies primary speedsters. And in all honesty, I'm a Marvel guy, but I cannot deny that Marvel has no "speedster" that is anywhere near as fast as the Flash. Marvel DO have characters that are as fast as Flash but they are not "speedsters".

Oh and Union Jack, you have some good choices, I like Moon Knight and Batman. People use to say Daredevil and Batman, but I say Moon Knight is a way better fit.

I also think its easier to name a DC character and find a Marvel equivalent. Maybe I feel that way cause I'm a Marvel guy and I don't know as many obscure DC characters. But it seems like when you name a DC character, a person can list several Marvel characters that could be compared. But when you list a Marvel character, its hard to find even one character from DC to compare to.

Like who really is DC's Captain America? And dont say Superman, cause power-wise they are not similar at all. Personality-wise, thats another story. Who is DC's Iron Man? List villians as comparisons, dont limit yourselves to only heroes.
