And? You gonna try and get me banned? :funny:

Nah, I'm just pointing out that you have a history of bias and like to make vacuous comments that seem to suggest that you think your opinion is fact. It isn't. Hilarious, I know. :funny: :funny: :funny:

I meant Raimi and his trilogy, let's keep him [Raimi] out of this.

Sure. Mhm. Whatever.

I'm not going to get into with you.

Carry on.

Sorry elsewhere if you got offended, I wasn't talking about you.

Who cares about top critics? It's nonsensical to look at a smaller sample of reviews for comparison. Look at the general percentage. It's much higher than TASM.

If it's a numbers game then the RT user rating should get the highest acknowledgement.

But if you use that rating ASM will most likely get a better start than the Raimi movies (SM1).

Depends how much stock you put into the mass audience.

User rating is even more unreliable. People are idiots. They tend to go back and rate things lower (SM1 has a 65%? Really?) just because of SM3. I already said to look at the general percentage that they give you, which is currently at a 78%. Just because you want the film to be better received than Raimi's doesn't mean it will be, and it simply isn't at that level of positive reception, no matter how many reviews/percentages you choose to ignore. Could you enjoy it more? Sure. Best not to base your opinion off of RT.

Well, I put none.

I'm not going to base my opinion on RT. But how these movies are viewed by the critics and public has a measurable effect on the future of Spider-man movies and comic book movies in general.

That's just the way it is.

Anyway the top critics so far feel ASM is the second best Spider-man movie and we shall see were the public stands.

Once again, top critics are a smaller sample and therefore it's inaccurate to say that based off of them, this film is being received better than either SM1 or SM2. It simply isn't being received as well as SM1. Ignoring enormous amounts of reviews will not change that.

Am I still looking forward to it? Of course! I expect it to be pretty good.

So top critics being the most respected professionals should be ignored because their numbers are too low.

and the masses (users) should be ignored because they're not professional.

That's completely incorrect and is not at all what I said. Thanks but no thanks for your oversimplification/putting words in my mouth.

Top critics aren't necessarily the "most respected professionals," and even if they are, it's still a smaller sample than the rest of the critics. 9 critics versus another 60. Is this really all that complicated to decipher? Christ...

I never said the masses should be ignored because "they're not professional." Again, thanks for putting words in my mouth. I'm sure you must be enjoying trolling me as of right now. But if you actually read what I said, I stated that they should be ignored because a good deal of them are highly unreliable. I don't know where you got "not professional" from, but ok. I guess I shouldn't look too much into troll logic/reading skills.

Oh boy, there goes the "troll" card.

Because I "over-simplified" what you said. lmao!

i'd be happy if TASM got like a 79 because it's the same score CA TFA has and i really liked that movie. But i am really hoping that it get like 83 because it's what Planet of the Apes got last year and i think that movie was very well recieved by everyone i know i don't know a single person who saw that movie and said it was a terrible movie

RT it's just as bad as IGN. their reviews aren't worth web fluid

Critic 83%
Users 92% (the only ones who won't like it will be Raimi fanboys who haven't even seen it)

Saw the movie on Friday. It was awesome.
