What will be the combined RT critic and user rating (the average from both scores)

If ASM can be at least 75% fresh, it won't be too bad, but I think it is clear that many critics are very critical of the idea of rebooting the franchise after only a few years since Raimi's Spider-Man 3.

Is that the reason?

Can't they just see the damn movie? I mean all they do is seeing movies and writing their opinions, which is what we all do here. But they're paid for it.

Are ratings going to continue being taken on RT when the movie's released widely on the 3rd/4th?

How many bad movies have above an 80%?

How many good movies have below a 30%?

Grandma's Boy has 18% and it is literally one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I've never heard of anyone I know seeing it and not finding it hilarious.

Regardless, generally the RT score is indicative of the quality but this time around the movie is getting negative reviews based ONLY on the fact that it is a reboot.

My guess is that it will be at 81% by the end of this year.

Which is a damn shame.

The Punisher = 29%, I think it deserves at least a 65-70%

79% now
I was hoping for more, cause I'm hoping it deserves more

Can you guys who think RT is useless name 3 bad movies that got over 80% and 3 good movies that got under 30%.

I think in general it can be helpful for people who don't have the time or money to watch every movie they're on the fence about.

I don't think they're useless, but I think Mortal Kombat (1995) and the Punisher (2004) deserve a lot better than what they got

Bad and good movies is so subjective though. I'm with aziz on mortal kombat. I also think both Addams family flicks are good and they have below an 80. Captain America has a 79 and I think it too is good. I don't think avatar is good and it's at 83. It's all subjective and you gotta make your mind up for yourself

Ok there are exceptions but the vast majority of great movies have over an 80% and vast majority of terrible movies have under a 30%.

So RT scores can be helpful.

It's helpful if you rely on what others say to determine what's good and what's not. I never ran like that. I like what I like

You do realize it's useless trying to reason with the people on this thread right. The movie isn't living up to their reputation, so reviewers are useless. If it got reviews like the Avengers, reviewers are awsome.

I was expecting early 80s for this so I'm pleased. Batman Begins got in the mid 80s and that was a solid reboot, I was hoping this movie would follow suite.

I hope this movie turns to be more fun than Batman Begins, and definitely better
