i like that idea for frankenstein. as for jekyll and hyde, maybe they'll do something like moore's version in league of extraordinary gentlemen (not the move!!!) where hyde starts out smaller than jekyll but grows bigger and more monsterous as jekyll wastes away. because with hyde seperated from him, jekyll has no drives, and without jekyll, hyde has no limits.
Yeah, that version has kinda taken over as how the character is seen. And it would seem Del Toro would take that way to go.
On the other hand, it's possible that Del toro would all of a sudden go all sober drama (with supernatural thriller elements) but since it has potential for a monster story we can fully expect to see a man-eating 8 feet Mr. Hyde.

BTW: He would have been great for a FAITHFUL The Leauge of Extraordinary Gentlemen adaptation. Mr Hyde attacking tripods while singing a merry song, and proceeding to eat Aliens as if they were spaghetti would have been right up that guy's alley.
