so will the game start out really bad ass and then you'll completely sell out and start playing things that sound exactly the same?
LOL! Oh man where did you come up with that? That is awesome! That is not an old complaint at all.
Like I said I knew my first comment was a bit of a cheap shot. But you have to admit that old school Metallica used to melt your face off and then all of a sudden they started playing stuff like Nothing Else Matters.
It looks like the game focuses a bit more on some of the harder stuff but there's not nearly as many of the old classics as I would like on there. I mean, how bad ass would it be to have been able to play Blitzkrieg or Ride the Lightning? That may be more of a product of who the target audience for the game is, considering most of you were in diapers when I was playing Kill 'Em All on vinyl.

although I will give them props for putting Slayer and Diamond Head tunes on there.
This seems a little bit ******ed to me. Why make a game called Guitar Hero: Metallica and then feature a fraction of the band's total track list with a bunch of random other songs? Granted, I haven't been following the game too closely, but I thought it would include all of Metallica's songs. Isn't that kind of the point of having a game based entirely on one band?
And for the record, I wasn't even born by the time Kill 'Em All was released, but the Black Album is my cutoff for great Metallica songs as well. There are a couple good songs on Load and ReLoad, but they're decent generic hard rock songs, not really great Metallica songs.
Yeah, Harmonix seems to have taken all the good people behind the original Guitar Hero with them. The GH games have been getting crappier over time.
I'm still holding out for Rock Band "The King" that in addition to a guitar controller has one you have to put on your hips. Not only does it track your dance movements but you get extra points for getting fatter the farther you get into the game
