They finished filming back in January. You haven't seen any set photos because most of it was shot at a London studio.

Disney also showed new sizzle reels from Dumbo and Aladdin, both of which are out next year. And they both look solid, but very much what you'd expect from Burton and Richie. Will Smith as the Genie is just Will Smith, though. No blue paint or anything.

Smith was living his full Arabian fantasy in the footage, decked out in jewels and robes and sporting a high ponytail on a shiny bald head. He can also be seen in numerous dance sequences, one in full harem drag dancing with scores of women in town square.

I wasn't expecting Will Smith to be painted blue. I was hoping for more of a Force Ghost effect. Oh well. Between this and all the radical changes they're making to Mulan, I guess they really are taking the criticism that Beauty and the Beast got for being too similar to the animated film.
