Fantasy Guy Ritchie Directing Disney's Aladdin

been so excited about Lion King that I keep forgetting about this...

Wasn't expecting a trailer this early, but I'm game.

Smith claims he will be blue, but I don't know if he's just joking or not.

I'm really excited for the trailer but also nervous. I feel like we haven't seen or heard anything about this movie and I'm not sure if that was a decision made by the studio to keep things tight or if they don't have confidence in their product. I'm pretty sure by now, we had a lot more insight into what Beauty and the Beast was going to look like.

I'm not sure Guy Ritchie was the right person for the job (only because he's never really taken on this type of genre before) but time will tell.

Yeah I like Ritchie normally too but I think maybe getting someone who doesn’t think painting extras to look middle eastern is a good idea would have been a better choice but whatever, it still might turn out ok

That was a shockingly tone deaf moment. I don't understand how anyone thought that was a good idea. Fortunately I believe they reshot those scenes (so clearly someone had sense)

Yeah, this poster in gorgeous. I love the blue mist, very reminiscent of the Genie in the animated, and that the handle of the lamp looks like a coiled snake.

Apparently it's tonight on Fox TV during a football game around 10pm EST/7pm PST/3am BST. I'm in the UK so will have to wait til tomorrow :-(
Really? I was hoping to catch it, but I might be at work by then.

They said earlier. Huh.
