We'll see.No you are wrong. It’s been confirmed that genie IS NOT cg. It’s just Will Smith with crazy hair and minus the blue.

Really? Wonder why they're so close to each other. So Dumbo, Aladdin and Lion King all within 4 months plus of each other?.....![]()
Some people don't buy him as Aladdin. What's so hard to get about that? It's a live version of a Disney animated movie about a fictional Arabian city and a boy who finds a genie in a lamp. I don't get why people have to nitpick about authenticity in a movie which features a taking parrot and flying carpets.
They don't buy him as Aladdin based on what? A three second clip of him reaching for a lamp? I have no problem if people don't buy him as Aladdin after watching the movie, but I don't understand why people have to be so negative all the time. It's tiring. Some people don't buy him as Aladdin. Ooh I thought he was gonna be blue? He even said something on an Instagram post about being blue? (it's not a deal breaker... many interpretations of the genie in the past haven't been blue)We'll see.
Yes, based on that 3-second shot. Because this is all we have at the moment. Or when a full trailer comes out and people are disappointed, you will be also arguing that they need to see the entire film to make judgement? They don't buy him as Aladdin based on what? I think we should at least hear the poor guy speak before deciding he's not right for the part. I think back to when Heath Ledger was cast as The Joker and there was disbelief and uproar. Then look what happened... he set the bar when it comes to movie villains.Yes, based on that 3-second shot. Because this is all we have at the moment. If you're going to throw Ledger at me, then there was also Leto. Who killed all enthusiasm for a lot of people with only one picture. He didn't have even 3 seconds. I trust that he was hired for a reason. I doubt his audition was three seconds long with no dialogue.
I think Leto's appearance with the costume and the horrendous tattoos and mouth grill said a lot more than what we're seeing here. I still gave it a chance and sat through Suicide Squad though! Granted, casting of Aladdin isn't even remotely unconventional. The actor looks the part. The Ledger rule doesn't always apply since Eisenberg and Leto.
Can we assume Jafar got him on his travels? I heard Disney's Aladdin was set in the 15th Century so... perhaps Jafar popped to South America (I'm reaching)The teaser was nice, but it seems like they unambiguously made Iago a macaw... macaws are from South America, dammit. Suspension of disbelief: forever broken
So what you're saying is that... a wizard did it?Can we assume Jafar got him on his travels? I heard Disney's Aladdin was set in the 15th Century so... perhaps Jafar popped to South America (I'm reaching)

They can just retcon history and say Jafar discovered South America and "all he got was this lousy parrot".That's the power of Disney... they can put out a teaser showing absolutely nothing and people will still get excited.
