'H2', Rob Zombie's sequel to 'Halloween'

At this point, I'd rather see a MBV3D sequel than a Halloween one.

Zombie should have skipped remaking Halloween and Halloween 2 altogether and went straight to Halloween 3. There has yet to exist a Michael Myer's Halloween 3 and even if it sucked, I guarantee Zombie wouldn't get near the backlash from fans.

zombie's not *THAT* bad a director

sure his scriptwritting needs a little work, but he's not as bad as some directors

I just finished watching RZ's El Superbeasto. Watched it 4 times already (it's on PPV..for $5). It's a pretty filthy cartoon, but it's realy kinda typical also. I enjoyed watching it, and I'm sure I'll watch it again before the nights over. There's no white trash characters in the movie, but it really overloads the cuss words...which works to it's charm for it being a cartoon..plus the cartoon nudity...there's even a song in the movie that points out the use of nudity in Jap. cartoons, it's pretty funny.

The film actually has it's moments, but the songs in the film are a bit more funny than the film itself. Michael Myers (Rob's version) even makes a cameo in the film.

It's only playing on PPV for today, and it'll be the 22nd before it hits DVD. I say I spent my $5 pretty well as I don't see myself picking this up on DVD or having any real desire to see this film again for a long while. It's worth checking out. If the DVD has anything special added to it, maybe I'll pick it up for the $13 price.

But I would say Scout had a lot to do in H2. It is probably the most developed I've seen a lead protagonist from a slasher since Sydney in Scream. Albeit, Laurie was quite strong in H20, but that was kind of a retread so I don't count that. I thought Laurie's journey into insanity was one of the few good things about the H2 movie.

Didn't care for it at all, it was an interesting, but horribly executed concept that was sometimes even unintentionally funny.

Laurie having visions of people that doesn't even know other than some interaction when she was a toddler as though these people are suddenly just as much a part of her psyche as they were of Michael's were freaking ridiculous.
I don't think wasting a huge chunk of time on some audience cheating dream sequence helped either, that was time that could've been better spent on something that was actually relevant.

And it's not even close to the best female protagonist I've seen in recent years, I'm watching The Descent right now, which deals with simialar subject matter of the female lead losing her mind do to trauma, and handles it with far more substance than Zombie did.

Scout did fine, all the blame goes on Zombie.

My Bloody Valentine 3-D is the worst of the worst when it comes to the horror remakes. The only thing that tops it possibly is The Hitcher remake.

I don't think it was anywhere near the worst...I think Halloween comes far, far closer.
The Hitcher remake was also better than Halloween. Bean's performance alone gives the film more merit than the entire Halloween remake combined, and you can throw on the sequel.

The Descent was good but I think Halloween was better than the Hitcher.

Really...we're going out there to say MBV was one of the worst remakes.....REALLY? Comparing it side by side to the original film....MBV3D is oscar worthy.

I like the original MBV and the remake about the same...and I don't consider "oscar worthy" to be much of a compliment.

I'm staying away from MBV and it's unfortunate that H3 will carry the same style.

I think the new MBV is just as good without the 3d. but again I never seen it in 3d.

Worst remake easily goes to April Fools Day and funny enough it stars Scout as one of the people. Now this is the worst movie remake ever!

I never heard of it . Maybe a good thing though.

The worst remake for me goes out to Black Xmas. I was in the theatre with my ex girlfriend and we thought the movie being so bad was some sort of prank.

Almost forgot about April Fools Day...yeah, that's a frontrunner for one of the worst.

ESTIMATES FOR LABOR DAY WEEKEND ARE OUT!

'The Final Destination' once again comes in first with $12.4 million. 'Rob Zombie's Halloween II' fell to SIXTH with $5.6 million.

April Fool's went straight to dvd also. I just found out .

Prom Night was lame but looking at Dana Davis stopped me from hating it . Until she died , then i got angry.
