'H2', Rob Zombie's sequel to 'Halloween'

I walked into the theater to catch the last few minutes of Se7en...and they're screaming and yelling abut a box! A freaking box??? Thats redonkulous!

I also walked into the theater to catch the last few minutes of Citizen Kane...and it was showing them burining some stupid sled, like Im supposed to care about that! Totally redonkulous.

Not that this film is either of those two...but the point is...context is everything.

Perfect. lol..loved the Citizen Kane one. haha. Stupid sled, why should I care? What's that got to do with anything? That ending was dumb. haha..

It's all about context.

It's...a...white...horse.

I think the horse is there because everyone in that movie was a white trash horse ****er.

Well sometimes thats how some people talk in real life. especially when mad. yesterday the bus went past me and I was yelling and waving at it to stop and it didn't and every other word out of my mouth was the f word and other obscenitys for a few minutes until i finally calmed down.

Exactly man. Sometimes...not all the time.

The White Horse is explained in the very first frame of the movie. It all has to do with dreams and visions and what certain things mean.

But it's still a white horse.

I'm sorry fellas, but I just dont find throwing horses into movies interesting. Just silly. :D

Damn. I wanted to continue this conversation for 3 pages more, then finally say...

I think...

*puts on glasses*

...we're beating a dead horse...

YEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH

As much as I hated the whole concept, it is a part of Michael's mentality. It isn't just thrown in for the sake of throwing it in, it actually does serve a purpose.

I don't think they'd necessarily have to recast so much.

Scout has said she'd come back even if Rob wasn't behind the script/director's chair, but it'd depend on the script.

and Brad Dourif isn't doing crap these days, Chucky has seemed to dry up, so he'd probably do it just for a pay check.

Same for Tyler Mane.

If I'm being paid, and I'm ensured another check based off the success of the film..I'd front a poker face to cameras to try and convience people everythingis okay and the movie is just fine.

And let's remember this...Rob has had a ton of interviews for the past three months...he's been releaseing a ton of photos, blogs, and other s**t. It seems to me he was distracted too much from editing to post blogs, photos, give interviews and such when he should have just worked on editing and worried about photos, interviews, blogs and all that AFTER he was finished. But he was trying to do everything at once, instead of one thing at a time. Almost everyday he would release something. He even went out of his way to film Uncle Seymore videos and a music video for the 'film' band.

What he did was stop caring about the BIG PICTURE and focused more on trying to convience people the movie was going to be Citizen Kane for Halloween.

Lol how was Citizen Kane like Halloween 2? By the way just came back from seeing it, it was OKAY!

What year did Citizen Kane come out? Thought it was a 1940s flick.

Anyways 7even was a classic/great suspense movie. Horror movies these days should learn from a movie like that.

Wish Micheal Myers movies can be suspense, but not the way Zombie tried to do it.

They're remaking childs play. from the original producers and Brad will again voice Chucky.

And I think Tyler wouldn't do it out of being loyal. Plus they prolly want a new Micheal.

Even in this interview Rob says nothing could be left in a film and the studio's would still be setting up for a part 3.

Its towards the very end.

They've release straight to DVD 3D films before...it's happened...Night Of The Living Dead 3D comes to mind.

They have also messed up the Crow franchise horribly, and other cool genre 1 shot films to make a quick buck (The Prophecy, Highlander, Hellraiser, etc.).

Honestly, given the air of underlying issues Purity and Hostility and how "detatched" the film felt at times, I don't think your that off the mark. It seemed to me, this was Rob
sticking the knife in the face saying "I'm done, do whatever the hell you want now.

Oh yes I can. They're both hacks for one, and the two franchise pictures they've helmed back-to-back got significantly worse in the 2-year time period between installments. They're both on my "Worst of 2009" list. It's so bad, I hope the bad word-of-mouth sinks H2's second weekend profits badly.

I have every right to compare and criticize RZ and Bay, just as everyone else who does like H2 and/or TF-2 has the right to call me a "film snob" or one of the people that "doesn't get it" because I don't like it. I like violent and gory movies, but my DVD shelf is a RZ-free zone.

Neither one is a hack. A hack is usually defined as a lacky director with no personal vision who takes on random jobs for a paycheque. John Moore is a hack, as is David R. Ellis. Both Rob Zombie and Michael Bay are auteurs with unique personal techniques and themes which they stamp on all of their work. A Rob Zombie/Michael Bay film stands out from similar works in their respective genres due to what they bring to it, and how it is manipulated to suit their vision.

This is not indicative of them being great directors by any stretch. Whether you view them as awesome or pathetic is your prerogative/preference. However, to call them hacks is misleading and incorrect.

Hurm... :facepalm
