Halloween III is a go?

I'm surprised that this is happening again. I might give this threequel a go.

I disagree. In the Director's Cut, Michael was shot up. Loomis was stabbed in the heart. And Laurie was [blackout]also shot numerous times in the torso. Rob Zombie himself said, in the DVD's commentary, that the ending scene of Laurie in the asylum was 'her last thoughts as she lay dying'.[/blackout]

H2: Unrated Director's Cut Ending

In the theatrical cut, Michael was shot numerous times, fell onto rebarb and stabbed numerous times in the torso by Laurie. Loomis was stabbed numerous times in the torso. And then it flashes to Laurie in the asylum.

H2: Theatrical Ending

woah I did not think there could be much one could do to make H2 worse (well maybe getting rid of the Bracketts), but wow.

The Director's Cut ending sucks so much. I actually liked the ending to H2 in theaters. For once studio intervention already improved the movie. Too bad nobody noticed that was a **** screenplay though.

You know I'd like the real actor/comedian Michael Myers do a Halloween movie just for kicks, hell he can play a dual role of Myers and Loomis.

I can just see the dollar signs on the producers eyes.

None of it is hard to understand, when have I implied I didn't understand this?

Now you tell me whats so hard to understand for you. I don't care who had the idea for the ghosts, white horses, *****ebag Loomis, mental Laurie etc - The film was still rubbish & murdered the character/story John Carpenter originally created.. the one with the cult following.
If you understand it, then how come you're saying Rob doesn't understand the character of Michael?

Interesting that this thread just got bumped since I just watched Halloween 2 last night. Wow, was this a crap movie, didn't think it could get much worse than the first Halloween, but Rob Zombie certainly topped himself this time. Guy needs to go back to writing music because as a film maker he sucks.

Being an avid fan of the Halloween series for about 10 years now I have to say, Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 is one of the best entries in the entire series. I'de put it behind the original Halloween and the original Halloween 2. Most of the people complaining about it seem to have wanted just more of the same, even though we already had that for about 6 sequels. I'm glad Zombie did something different with the series and I hope that new ideas are introduced in further films to come.

I think that three should be a standalone film since Zombie isn't coming back. Just make it so it can be seen as a sequel and also as it's own movie (Think Halloween 4).

I'd like to see them show that the series can be more than just Michael, and I love Michael. So a story about Laurie in the asylum, and Brackett visiting her from time to time would actually be pretty sweet. And the characters within the asylum could be the groundwork for great characters. I wish this film were still moving ahead. I loved both of Zombie's movies because I wasn't expecting anything from the original series besides the name and the mask.

As much as I don't want this movie to happen, I'll probably go see it. I'm a slave to my horror addiction, and for some reason I think that Scout Taylor-Compton is better looking than she really is.

Its not Halloween without Michael Myers, we learned that in the 80's. Bring him back, resurrect him, something very implausible and give us a fresh mask. I'd like somebody to carry on RZ's tone of the his first one.

Halloween III was actually pretty good, people only hate it because it doesn´t have Mickael Myers.

I would like to point out that Laurie ended up in a mental hospital in the original run as well...it just took her a lot longer. In some ways, Halloween 1 and 2 were a retelling of the first run, but taking out his niece and leaving in Laurie.

This is terrible news. I wish they'd make the Night Dance graphic novel into a movie not this hillbilly slasher crap they call Halloween.

"They’re still looking for the money, but it’s pretty much set to go this December or early next year."

Lets hope they don't find a single dime.

Why are people assuming Michael won't be in this? I know people who have read the script by Lussier and Farmer for part 3 and yeah Michael is in it throughout. Now wether the script by Lussier/Farmer gets made remains to be seen, but I guarantee Michael is in this one.

Believe it or not there are alot of those white trash types in the midwest where every film has taken place.

I wouldn't mind Zombie coming back for a third movie if, and pretty only if, he got someone else besides himself to write, because I'm convinced he has no place in that role. He has a very interesting visual style, but the story and writing are overall pretty poor in his films.

I agree, I also thought the theatrical ending is better than the director's cut. I hate the "Love Hurts" song in the end of the director's and like the theatricals's way better, it set a better tone for the asylum scene. I also think I'm in the minority of those who actually like H3. Even though it didn't have Myers it was an interesting story and probably would've been received better if its title were different to make it seem as if its not a Michael Myers sequel to number 2.

There is no way we won't get Michael in this film , he'll either be flashback, we get the Haute Tension plot , or Laurie "thinks she killed him".

I've never watched Halloween : season of the witch because friends told me to skip it , no myers but now there is talk it might of been a decent horror flick as a stand alone . The concept isn't a bad idea , every year a different Halloween tale , but this series needs it's killer.

I'd be all for someone revisiting Nigel Kneale's original concept for Season of the Witch. Kneale's Quatermass stories are great sci-fi/horror and taking his original concept and eliminating some of the obvious 80s slasher aspects, probably would help.

You DO know no one's holding a gun to your head...forcing you to watch them, right?

I'm so over people going on about how horrible a film is or is going to be.

Just turn around and leave the thread...turn around and walk out of the theatre...don't download it...

For instance I could care less about the 'Twilight' films...as a result I simply don't watch them and I leave their fans be.

It's not rocket science.

yeah, the twilight hate baffles me.

I've never seen a single interview with a Twilight cast member. I've never seen the movies or read the books. I've never been in a conversation about story details or characters. I've never really been exposed to ANYTHING Twilight related except occasional commercials, and tons and tons of articles about how Twilight is unavoidable and people hate it. I don't care about sappy romance movies, so I simply don't pay attention to them.

Odd that avoiding Twilight is actually easier than avoiding the talk that it is unavoidable.

Actually a lot of people don't like the plot of an Irish Halloween mask maker making masks that makes kids heads turn into maggots lol.
