Agreed. I'm making my own horror movie which was inspired by this movie but I don't have nearly as much swearing. I know nearly everyone swears but you shouldn't go overkill with it & I know people who do go overboard with it. It gets really annoying after a while.
I felt awkward in theaters watching it with all the swearing.

I didn't see the theatrical version but I think that version would've been better, even though the whole hicks raping a girl scene was pretty damn funny.
How would a rape scene be funny?

Yes it was kinda funny but Zombie always resorts to using too much vulgar language with his characters which isn't always funny.
Vulgar language isn't really meant to be funny unless used in a certain way (mainly in comedies like "Superbad", or Wolverine saying "Holy ****" in X2).

I picked up the director's cut to complete my Halloween collection, and guess what....it's worse than the theatrical release. If you thought that was horrible, then this version only makes it longer, more boring, and more stupid.

I thought his escape from Smith's Grove was lame in the threatrical cut, but in this one, they have that stupid "rape" scene in Michael's room, which was absolutely ridiculous. Zombie kept the same, stupid ending of Extreme Home Makeover: Michael Myers Edition, and just had a few more unecessary scenes.

This movie is a mess from start to finish. The sad thing is that it could have been pretty well done, had it been in better hands.

I don't understand complaints about vulgar language. Vulgar language is just another section of the human language. If you're uncomfortable with it, it's your own fault, not Zombie's.

Zombie brings it to a whole other level. I'm no prude when it comes to foul language. I use it, my friends use it, my parents have used it but I have never, EVER heard it in the fashion Zombie presents it in. He's depicting a suburban town. Nobody talks the way they were speaking to each other. It was excessive, overboard, and unnecessary. He's horrible at writing dialouge.

Yes he is,The one thing I don't get is why people put him on such a high pedestal. He's nothing special, does nothing new and is a hypocrite when it comes to remakes. House of a 1000 Corpses was just another Texas Chainsaw remake.

Noone talks like that? That's a bold statement, considering there's 6 billion people in the world, and I highly doubt you keep tabs on every single one of them.

Dude, when I'm hanging out with my friends, every other word out of my mouth is the "f" word. It was pretty accurate to me.

Then you and your friends are idiots. Learn big words, you're conversations will be better.

If this movie's dialouge seems completely normal to you and is even a reflection of the way you converse in real life, then I can't do anything but feel sorry for you.

It's only a word, it's not like it really makes a difference. Why do you give a damn? And the dialogue between the Myers family in the beginning doesn't reflect my life. I'd compare it more to Laurie and her friends.

Agreed. Only unintelligent people use curse words in every sentence. An intelligent person can go without cursing when it's not needed.

Sorry, but how does that make you unintelligent? Words like f**k and s**t are just like every other word in the English language.

I'm not uncomfortable with it but all I'm saying is that it can be toned down a bit. We have enough little kids that may watch the movies & may pick up the language. Sure, I cuss sometimes but I try to keep it to a minimum. That's why when I'm writing my stories I try to keep the foul language to a minimum unless one of my characters are super pissed.

It makes you unintelligent when you're talking & every other word that comes out of your mouth is f**k that & that's bull****. I'm not saying everyone who uses these words are unintelligent, just those who use them in every sentence that comes out of their mouth.

Yeah, but they are regular words. It's just that society has given them a harsh reputation.

I understand what you're saying but again, when they're being used in that way in every other sentence, it tends to get annoying.

When I said every other word out of my mouth is "f***", I was obviously overexaggerating. However, I do use the word every day.

Yeah, okay.

Anyway, I watched the original Halloween movie today & it's downright horrible, there were so many things left unexplained like how he knew how to drive, where he got the mask & how the hell he knew Laurie was actually his sister. I only watched this movie to see how it different it was & it's crap.

Right, as do I. Just not as every other word coming out of my mouth from the moment I awaken to my moment of sleep. The way the words were used in this film were just classes. In some films, excessive vulgar language seems appropriate for the film content and subject matter. Like Running Scared for example. I was just watching it. It seemed completely plausible. The dialouge didn't become a distraction, it enhanced the intensity. This films dialouge was just a distraction. I remember really rolling my eyes in the school bathroom scene. That was hard to sit through in a cringe-worthy way. Every single character was just a revolting individual with no redeeming qualities which really put a damper on this film for me.

It just seems to be the Zombie trademark. Once you see a film with revolting individuals, most of the time in hillbilly fashion, and hear vulgar language just for the sake of using it, it's a Rob Zombie film.

If my memory serves me right dosen't he take it from a drug store or implied that he took it from the drug store.. or something like that?

But even if they didn't explain, I don't think it's all that necessary to know. It's just a mask. Dosen't really give him any powers or anything. Just covers his face. Once he escaped he could've gotten it anywhere.

He never knew Laurie was his sister in the original.

About the driving, I never quite understood that argument. He broke in the car and hit the gas. Dosen't take a genius to figure it out, then you turn the wheel. We never once in the film see an instance where his skills to parallel park need to be explored. He dosen't do anything with a car a fool couldn't figure out.
