Daredevil Hallway fight overrated?

That fight was, point blank, better than any fight in any live action Batman movie or Arrow.

The camera work was great. There aren't any cuts, the camera isn't so shaky you can't see what's going on, the choreography is excellent.

Scene of the series for me, easily.

Perhaps it's because I binge watched the whole series and didn't take time to savour it, but I barely remember it. What I do remember, I didn't think was all that special.

Like the Nobu fight, I remember, that was awesome. This.. it was him being tired and hurt fighting people who unrealistically fought him one on one rather than all just bundle him. Or people who had guns and range on him but moved in closer rather than fire. It did remind me of old Kung Fu movies though.

I seriously cannot believe ppl think the hallway fight is over-rated.

How about you don't binge watch everything and just watch a couple episodes a day?

Overrated? Nope. Not at all. I think it deserves all the praise it's receiving. It's one of, if not, the most visually satisfying fight scenes in a superhero adaptation. And it was paying homage to Old Boy; not ripping off Arrow.

That Arrow scene was great by the way, but I don't think it was better than some of the lesser fight scenes in Daredevil, let alone the Hallway scene.

Overrated? No, though I will say the emphasis some fans of movies and TV put on 'Wow! One take! No cuts!' or 'very few cuts!' is really quite overblown, IMO. It's like so many other things I'm sick of hearing about as well:

-over-praising of practical FX as somehow superior to CGI and other digital FX...they aren't any better or worse, it's all in how they are used and I don't get aroused when some director makes an emphasis on using them as if they are supposed to get extra brownie points for it(I'm looking at you, Abrams);
-fans crying over remakes to films they love when a remake has no effect on a work that has already come out;
-decrying the lack of originality in Hollywood these days...is anything more cliche' at this point? Such naysayers should heed their own advice and get some damn new material already!

...and other such crap that I'm sick to death of hearing from the fan community.

I'll appreciate good choreograpghy in a fight long before I ever even notice how many cuts a scene has. I applaud them for doing it all in one take but if they hadn't it wouldn't have bothered me in the least so long as the choreography was good and I could see what was going on well. IMO that's all one can reasonably expect.

I absolutely loved the hallway fight scene, don't really care to bother noticing stunt double changes, that just seems like you're looking for excuses to complain.
