YES YES YES. I can't emphasize that enough. They need to simplify things back to Halo 2 days. Reach's multiplayer was bogged down IMO with too many additional things. Also, reticle bloom needs to go

The reticle bloom, armor abilities, and mini-nukes (aka grenades) need to go. Not only that, but the gameplay in Reach just felt incredibly slow-paced, especially compared to Halo 2.

God I miss the days of playing Headlong and Waterworks on Live.

I agree whole heartedly. I have many fond and frantic memories of Halo 2 online and even with friends at our LAN parties. Reach always just felt clunky to me. I'd like to see them streamline the multiplayer a bit

And I have to say, I really would like to see them add more color options for your spartan. Hell, just give us a color wheel. One of the great things that Reach brought to the table was expanding the customization options. They should take it a step further.

I've never understood Bungie's rationale for excluding dark colors ("It would give players an advantage on dark maps"). To this day, I haven't seen a Halo map dark enough for that to be an issue. And if it really is such an issue, just incorporate the night vision into matchmaking.

I'd kill for a pure black or navy blue Spartan.

Also, we should be able to change the color of each individual armor piece, instead of having a set primary/secondary pattern.

Well, seeing how a lot of the 343 guys actually worked with Bungie on Halo 2... I think hoping things go back to the Halo 2 line of play isn't to much of a stretch.

Yeah Halo 2 was the best multi-player ever!! Hands down

As a huge halo fan I am soo pumped to hear this news!!! Soo sick! But to me 343 looks like they want to make it feel like the original halo but more updated looking. Thats the feeling im getting from watching the teaser. And if they pull it off right, could be a sick ass game! But lets face it bungie has progressively been getting worse and worse with Halo games, its time for a new people

I'll be honest, i thought Halo had been milked dry starting after Halo 3. However, I'd be lieing if I said it's not good to see Master Cheif back. The original Halo franchise is still really cool, IMO. It's also hard to believe it's been 10 years since Halo: Combat Evolved.

Halo 2 was the best Halo game from what I remember.... the multiplayer was definitely amazing... dual wielding Needlers!!! And that Zanzibar map needs to come back, lol. I think they wanted a more "adult" or "realistic" feel when they made ODST and everything onwards...

My Halo 4 Wishlist is short 'n' simple:

Different aliens.

I'm sick to death of the Covenant, and I hated the Flood from day one.

It's a big universe out there --- let's let the UNSC explore some new systems and encounter a whole new franchises' worth of baddies, instead of just revisiting the same old ground again and again.
