Yea I thought 4 started this "reclaimer trilogy". So im assuming 4 started the trilogy and based on how 5 ends, that seems right. We are about to hit a major event if the end of 5 is anything to go by.
Reclaimer is a fitting title when you look at it like this:
With the Flood gone, we see both how chaotic the galaxy still is with the Covenent Remnant, the reemergence of small scale insurrectionists among the humans, and then we are reminded of the Forerunners place as in disputed master of their galaxy and the Imperial Peace of the Mantle of Responsibility via Didact's return and rampage in Halo 4. We also get the Reclaimer concept brought up big time.
And with Didact's defeat by the combined forces of Cortana and Chief, we get the second stage in Halo 5 when we get the [BLACKOUT]schism between John and the returned Cortana over who the Reclaimer is and what their role in the galaxy is; should they reinstate the Mantle of Responsibilty or change up everything about about what it means to be the supreme power in the galaxy?[/BLACKOUT]
I will say that I'm disappointed that ONI didn't play a larger part in the story; they're still being played as pretty horrible people at the upper echelons, and I think it might have worked better to make it clear that they're a major part of the problem between Locke and Chief, as well as the main provocateurs that [BLACKOUT]Cortana[/BLACKOUT] sees as endemic to a reality without the Mabtle being enforced.
