Its popularity definitely peaked in the 2000's with the original trilogy. Halo 3's launch was enormous and that was also the last one I played because I opted to go with Playstation over Xbox since the last console generation. Still, I'm going to check out the show because I loved the first three games.

Yes. Halo Infinite multiplayer has proven to be a hit. 343 Studios are also listening to feedback well and adapting it quickly.

Didn't they already retcon the Spartan 2 program some from its original grimdark backstory? Not that I can blame them, the characters and setting as portrayed in the games themselves just don't fit thematically or tonally with the background they invented in the novels.
