same as hancock, just stronger powers plus random weatherness

Dude I dont believe you dont like this film, I thought it was quality when she threw him through the wall. The audience gasped at that scene no one was expecting that.

well then maybe i'm just smarter then the general audience? i felt her reveal was pretty obvious. saw it coming several scenes before. Esp from the really obvious odd looks she gave him. (though i did at first think hancock accidentally killed someone she knew, which is why she looked at him wierd, which imo would have made a story 10xs better

and again for the record i didn't hate the movie. just felt like it was a generic superhero film. it was unbreakable meets my super ex girlfriend. which means essentially is just a badly written superhero movie with great acting. The humor worked... but the drama i felt didn't, especially torwards the end. i felt the drama of superhero angst was fine... but his origin and charlize intertwinement i felt was half assed

Someone posted this review. I think this is similar to what Spidey was saying. Plus, he saw a slightly earlier cut than you did. (sex scene still included).

Dam it am I the only one who liked this film, maybe I am easily entertained but I thought it was a awesome film, unlike must I have been following this film so was expecting the twist, and yes theres a sex scene but not excatly graphic.

I thought the history of Hancock and his race was very interesting, and I personally found it brilliant that she was just like him. He wasnt alone anymore but in the end he had to give her up or become normal.

I doubt it. Every reveiw I've seen seems to like it or hate on the premise of the tonal change. After seeing Unbreakable, my brothers and I hated it until we talked about it and by the end of the ride home, it was one of the best movies we'd seen. But Unbreakable kept a consistent dramatic tone. Hancock seems to be trying to be everything(action, comedy, drama) and that's where the rub comes in.

I'm really interested in what the public's reaction will be.

interesting? yes... but not very well explained.. at all.
and if u know anything about ancient mythology, u'd know there wasn't much compareable between the gods Charlize was saying they were... Isis and Artemis are pretty different gods. :o

So I guess they edited out the sex scene for the PG-13 rating. After reading the review, I don't think the movie will be that good, but since it's a Will Smith movie it will probably be critic-proof and makes alot of money anyway.

the version i saw had the sex scene... but it wasn't graphic, nor was the context. i doubt it's changed from the version i saw.

I am sooooo stoked. So many great movies out this year! I can barely keep up!! :P

well i saw it unfinished.. but it looked like a CGI fest, just to be a CGI fest. Where as with hulk it was what hulk is all about. The characters just so happened to be CG.

The fight essentially starts with Charlize getting emotional, and flying off after explaining there origin to Hancock and how he always ruins her life. He chases, they convieniently land in front of the hollywood and Highland complex (walk of fame, ghramans chinese theater, kodak theater) she creates a storm, throws a semi at him. the 2 fight, twirl into construction and soo much crap happens you really can't tell whats going on. It ends with them flinging across town, landing on the street in front of batemans characters work and learns the truth about his wife

Sounds great!!

So Charlize's powers are like Storm, and Will's are like Superman?

no.... hancock has superstrength, flight, durability. Charlize has the same, but stronger, faster flight and more durable then hancock... plus random weather ability. (there pretty much just giving them all sorts of powers, im sure they even have more that arn't explained)

Are you short? You certainly show signs of a Napoleon Complex here. Remember the quoted post below?

You are so hell bent on imposing your "superior" opinions on others in here, that you'd stoop to imply that you're smarter than the people who might actually enjoy this movie.

It's like you've made it a misson for other people to hate this movie, instead of just giving us YOUR OPINION, and letting the rest of us decide if we like it or not.

You're so hung up on the fact that you got to see an EARLY CUT of this movie, that you act like yours is the only viable opinion.

Damn dude.

You act like you have a total grip on this movie, just because you saw an EARLY cut.

Relax your sphincter man.

Let the people actually working on this movie worry about the creative stuff, and don't worry about losing your "position of authority" with this movie, since there are actual scenes you haven't seen now. :whatever:

i can have my own damned opinion, just because you don't share them, nor want to hear them doesn't mean a flick of anything to me. I don't go insulting you. and btw im average... 5'11

btw, people like you, are soooo hung up on LIKING the movie, even before most even see it. so i consider it the same exact thing. Except i've actually seen the movie. I'm 100% positive that some people will enjoy this movie, it's not nearly as bad as most superhero movies, but it's not nearly as good as the greats either.

Isn't that just your opinion placed as fact ? Ive got no issue with people who want to hammer on and on about something as you have with this movie, but it's been months now that you've been telling us you saw it and it's not very good, often repeating the same things over and over without any real advancement in the discussion, so you have to understand that some are gonna get kinda tired of it since it's relentless.

Carrrnuttt, there is no need to be snarky either, that isn't gonna help anything and will only get you in trouble, i suggest if spideyboy bothers you so much that you ignore him.

i don't state my opinion as fact, i state it as my opinion. i've clearly said it's an alright flick on several accounts. specifically stating "its good, not great". Opinions can never be fact. The only way an opinion on a movie could be fact is if 100% of all the viewers agreed on the same opinion. which is next to impossible even for the most critically bombed flicks someone will like a movie no matter the popular opinion, as will the haters hate. This film i didnt hate, dissapointed by... yes, hated no.

About 1hr 45 give or take 5 minutes.
Don't know if you're counting the commercials but the movie itself is 92 mins long according British, Australian and German film classification boards.

Thanks for the review btw and glad you enjoyed it.

I get the feeling quite a bit was edited out to get the rating.:o
