To me I hope they do make a sequel. I think it is great that we have a new Black Superhero and I would love to see to see a sequel to this movie or have him picked up for his own comic series that is done much like Invincible where he has his own world to work off of and build around.
<
I can't agree more. The movie was well executed. The fact that there is 2 superheroes connected is original but maybe too much. I Think they should have waited in the next sequel to talk about it.

But overall the movie was enteraining and fun! Will was Will once again. I

BTW there was a scene where will smith was in prison and walked in line with some teammates then all of the prisoners falls behind him. Was that part in the movie cause I didn't saw it!

I agree with you.......

IMO though I don't that Hancock needs to stay away from them the rest of his life. Yeah, maybe for relationship purposes and respect for their feelings (Bateman and Charlize), but not because of becoming weaker.

It takes prolonged exposure to each other before they really start to become weak, and Smith could just visit time to time like a distant relative and not cause any real harm to Charlize or himself.

Additionally it might be beneficial that Hancock come and see them every now and then, in order for him and Charlize to age. I mean things will probably get weird when Bateman begins to look 10 years older than Charlize. That would probably raise some eyebrows.

Hancock could come around and live with them for a little and she could age a little bit. He really doesn't need to stay away forever.

Would YOU voluntarily age to keep pace with someone who will die in 80 years?

I'd like a short story on what Charlize was doing the 80 years Hancock was bumming around from Florida to LA.

For me the suggestion would be like getting cancer because the person you love has cancer.

Nope.

From the moment Hancock put on the costume he was seen as a hero, therefore it would not have devauled the All Heart logo. Bateman had 2 things he believed in...Hancock being turned into a respected hero, and All Heart. The human brain would have connected the two and he would have put the logo on Hancock suit. Heck, he even had a big PR meeting where everyone wanted to discuss Hancock and he used that to promote All Heart...if Hancock had been wearing the logo it would have been an easy sell.

Bottom line, the movie ignored sense and human nature so they could do a gag about the moon.
yeah when i first was watching, i thought he was going to use hancock to sell his idea and then hancock would find out and start drinking again pretty much ruining his newly found status and caring no longer...

that is when he'd go after his wife and all that but then batemen would redeem himself by saving him at the end of the film, regaining his wife's love and hancock's respect (not loyalty though).

a learning curve for all but hancock would still be an ass...

I'd say Will Smith gets too much love at this point.

His tendency to crank out lazy and forgettable junk is growing tiresome: Bad Boys II, Wild Wild West, Men In Black II, Hitch, Shark Tale... This travesty...

Even his more enjoyable films, such as I Am Legend, I, Robot and Pursuit Of Happiness are wildly uneven. They're watchable, but far down the totem pole from similar films in their respective genres. He has yet to contribute anything truly great to the world of cinema, other than box-office sales, which tend to be short-lived.

Its time for him to ditch this whole blockbuster thing and start working with some directors who pack some substance. Jeez, a lot of top-notch filmmakers would kill to give him some ace material as his name guarantees easy funding, distribution and box-office.

I have to agree with you. Will really needs to let go of the "Big Willie" blockbuster type of movie and spend a couple of films working on his craft. He has the acting chops to compete with Denzel Washington Laurence Fishburne and Forest Whitaker. He needs to start working with more creative directors and more sophisticated material.

While Smith has the box office he hasn't done a memorable film that defines him as and elevates his craft the way Washington Whitaker and Fishbune have. Most of his films including the Oscar nominated ones were completely forgettable. In every movie he's the same character. Will Needs a Big or a Marty to define him the way those films defined Tom hanks and Ernest Borgnine.

Will needs to do more movies like The Pursuit of Happyness. That was a great film.

lol I think he should just keep doing what he's doing now. Hancock will most likely get sequels and he'll probably throw in another 'Pursuit of Happyness' type film.

Everything you said about Will I feel the same way about Denzel, he's a good actor but I feel he always plays himself as every character. Even though Snipes hasn't done much in Hollywood recently I feel he is more versatile can do more then one genre if he wants from action, comedy, to drama. Snipes also does not play the roles as himself, for example Snipes changes his vocals, Blade doesn’t sounds nothing like him except every no and then.

Back to Will, I think he has come a long way from being the Fresh Prince, he has definitely improved as an actor and I don’t think he plays every roll the same, yes the voice is the same most of the time, but his persona is different per movie.

Gave it a 6/10. I knew they had cut it up before release so my expectations weren't high. It was alright. Hopefully, the uncut version will be more satisfying.

Yeah,he has come a long way from Fresh prince, but he really needs stronger material. He really needs to lay off the hncock type scripts and get back to the Pusuit of Happyness type material. He was growing in his craft; this movie was a step back to Big Willie Style, something he grew out of after Ali. I want to see him take on the more sophisticated complex roles like De Niro, Robin Williams and Pacino.

i will agree with you on Denzel. lately all he does is play cops or crooks lately and hasn't expanded his acting range since the second Oscar win for Training Day. he's a far better actor than that.

Snipes never actualized his potential. He started so strong in New Jack City, I always felt he was one away from joining Whitaker, Washington Smith and Fishburne as the top Black leading men.

This movie was crap, wish I smoked some stuff B4 I saw this Will Smith fiasco dreadful melody. I give it a 3 out of 10. Die-hard Will Smith fans will most definitely disagree, but whatever. Worst Will Smith movie since MIB 2 and that one was still better than Handjob. The problem is the script fellas, it had potential but fizzled halfway thru. The "connection" between Smith and Charlize was stoopid and ah man...who cares. It was trash.

wow...what a cool story. I like this much better than what we got because it is much more coherent to the rest of the movie, follows the same theme.

althought i liked the movie, this is a pretty accurate article for the most part. i read the script review for Tonight HC (i recommend to fans and haters just to see what if), and i'm not sure i like that movie better than this. That has it's own issues, although the relationship between hancock and woman was developed much nicer than hancock. In any case, saying THC would have been an amazing movie over this is kinda overestimating it also IMO.

But i agree with both Hancock and IAL with the second half spiralling out of control. IAL was better at it, but Hancock just felt like to wholly different movies. and i agree with mary and hancock's relationship being forced. there was no real chemistry between them, and there wasn't really any attraction between them.

just got done watching it and I enjoyed it. While Marys reveal wasnt that shocking, it was nice. You could tell she she knew hancock from somewhere and was worried about it being revealed and her powers were great ( I wonder, are the females usually stronger in their race? ). Them being "together" I agree didnt really work that well.

But now I want a comic or something that gives us some back story on both of them. And to bad Mary is so low key, it would be great to see her fight crime.

And I wonder if they are truly the only ones left or if new ones will be born to take their place.

yeah, it was kinda wierd.. i felt hancock trying to kiss her kinda came out of left field

I watched that movie and immediately grew a vagina

I totally disagree. The movie is about a father and son. It is totally a guy movie. Just because it is nothing but character and story driven doesn't make it a chick flick.

yeah it felt really out of place. if i didn't know about the "affair" ahead of time, it really wouldn't have made sense to me.

i thought he meant in the sense that he got really emotional watching the movie, like how girls are watching a film versus guys watching a movie.

i think he meant it as a compliment. unless i'm wrong.

Just saw hancock, lol

I enjoyed seeing will smith doing a different part that he usually doesnt do. I thought honcock was a funny character, it was worth the laugh. It wasnt a great movie but it was ok
