Harpers Island

Current thoughts:

Definitely not the sheriff. He knows something, but he is not the killer. We know that Madison is a liar. She has lied for her father in the past. There is a chance the killer ordered her to point the finger at the Sheriff. I think he is going to die next week. The scene where he is screaming for Abby to stay away from him, he probably is booby trapped or something.

At this point I am having a hard time seeing how it can be Henry or Jimmy. Both have air tight alibis. If it is one of the main characters, they have an accomplice. Possibly the bar tender who is Abby's old friend. Perhaps she is the Wakefield child?

I'm starting to lean towards Jimmy. Based on next week's preview Jimmy gets blown up at a distance from everyone else. This is loosely based on Agatha Christie's 'And Then There Were None.' Following that formula, the killer will stage his own death. Perhaps the explosion is Jimmy doing something similiar. Faking his death. Jimmy and Abby have not slept together. There were two times they almost did but haven't. Why do I mention this? I am starting to believe Jimmy is the Wakefield child, and Abby's sibling. He is the only main character aside from Abby who hasn't been used as a red herring. Right now, Jimmy is my bet.

Also, I'm starting to suspect the accomplice is British doctor. We don't know how long his girl was out for. He could've snuck out and killed Beth. He seems too nice to be real.

Was it always a fact that the killer is a main character or supporting character on the show?

Ew...incest. And they kissed...

Did they not say Wakefield had a daughter & not a son specifically ? Or is that still up in the air

CBS used this
for promo. It would be pretty unfair if one of them weren't the killer.

How about that one random chick when Abby went to pick up the pictures or whatever ? When Abby left the store she watched her carefully as she walked away

My thoughts exactly.

All the obvious general audience signs point to Abby being Wakefield's kid and her dad being the killer, but all the 'intelligent' signs point to Jimmy.

My old theory was the Sheriff actually being the killer all those years back, and framed Wakefield for f-ing his wife and fathering Abby, who he believed was his daughter. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

They focused on her as she is the star of the online sister series Harper's Globe.

We learned two episodes ago that Wakefield chased Jimmy when Abby saw her mother killed. I'm starting to think that scene may be pivotal. We still don't know how Jimmy got away. Something tells me what happened between Jimmy and Wakefield was crucial.

Is Harper's Globe as good as Harper's Island? The site looks fan made, too. Does the events happen the same time as those on Harper's Island?

Yeah from what I remember, she was hiding and it showed Jimmy yell like "Hey!" or something to Wakefield. Abby thought he was trying to divert him, but I'm thinking they will show that whole scene (at the end?) and it will show us that Jimmy was working with Wakefield. Or something.

If this ending is how the show ends up then this is disappointing

I hate that Wakefield is alive. It feels like a cop out. Its like the writers suddenly said, "Oh crap! we've written ourselves into a corner because there are some killings that everyone has alibis for! Oh well, might as well bring Wakefield back!" Plus its not fair from the mystery aspect of the show. We've been trying to piece it together as CBS advertised that you could use clues to guess the killer (and the suspects were the 25 original characters) but suddenly Wakefield is alive and negates everything else. The second killer better be good.

I haven't even seen the new eppy, and this doesn't really spoil much for me.

I liked how that old lady was so smug about not being targeted by Wakefield and then it coming back to bite her in the ass.

Preview for next week's episode seems to point Jimmy as Wakefield's accomplice.

Well I have been DVRing this show and watch it in bulks every now and then. I've caught up and my thoughts on who it is are:

Well obviously Wakefield is one of the killers, but no one is surprised by that, as the Sheriff still obsesses over him and the writers are about as subtle as hammers. Every episode within the first five minutes:
CHARACTER A: Well maybe, it's Wakefield?
CHARACTER B: Ha! Don't be ridiculous, everybody knows Wakefield is dead.
SHERIFF: .....

Anyway, that was never a big enough of a twist, so there had to be an accomplis in the group. I think the other killer is Jimmy. Until this week's episode, I have thoughtfrom the first episode it was going to be Henry, because he seemed "too perfect," nice, heroic, etc. But I guess he really is all those things, because I can't believe he is the killer any longer. It is more than likely Jimmy. Why would he spare Jimmy? Make a deal? I could see him welching on that quite easily. He spared Jimmy and sent him back. It is so he can separate and pick them off one by one from the inside. Maybe it isn't as obvious as Abbey being the daughter (as no one believed the redherrings that it was JD and then the Sheriff). Maybe, rather Jimmy is Wakefield's son and the obsession over the mother is a la Scream, his death a la Ten Little Indians and they waited for her to come back, because maybe Jimmy is in a twisted way in love with her.

My 2 cents.

I feel the same way man. :csad:

I think the bride knows something.

She saw the picture of wakefield and was like is that wakefield? Then had this look on her face like she had met the guy. I don't know maybe it's just me.

I wasnt surprised that it was Wakefield that was still doing the killings, or that it wasnt the Sheriff. At first I thought it might be him but the fact that they refused to show the killer until the end made it obvious it wasnt the Sheriff. I just hope that his accomplance/son wont be as surprising as we all think it is.

wakefield's kid is jimmy i think

I say the Groom & it could also be Shane since we know nothing about him with Jimmy also being to obvious & Shane I think resembles Wakefield more then Jimmy

Who is the guy that plays Wakefield. He either reminds me of another actor or is the actor I am thinking of. Seen him in stuff, can't remember his name though.

Good eppy but kinda disappoint like Matt has said (I think). The show was baout Wakefield being dead but someone else doing the killings. Wakefield being alive isn't a bad idea, but since the show was about him being dead....yea. And I read on imdb.com the finale is 2 hours long.

...that's still my guess.

Shane would lack the emotional punch the second killer needs

I like his character. Plays the ass nicely imo. If he was it...it would be a surprise, considering he was about to kill JD cause he thought he killed his ex.
