Ok, good to know I'm not crazy. Another thing I wished they'd implemented. If they combined all that with the fight scene they showed us AND John William's music, I would have shat my pants in pure joy.

I actually added some music to that scene which I thought it could really have used:

I actually like that there is no music during the fight. I just think it works well for the scene. The sound mix in that scene is superb. I like the way the book did the fight, and I like how they did the duel in the film. Using the elements of nature the way they did was clever. Its one scene in the film I have absolutely no problems with except that it might could have went a bit longer.

Toss some apperation in there and I'm sure it would have been a little longer. :P

Wow, that actually fits very well! And it makes the scene even better! :wow:

Excellent musical choices! Have you ever thought about becoming a composer? You seem to have a great ear for that sort of stuff.

Thanks man! I'm actually in film school right now, and I've composed a couple pieces (mainly for short films that I write/direct myself, or other people's short films that I edit).

I hate when this sort of stuff happens. Do your research when getting any kind of pet. Owls do not make very good pets despite what any film would have you believe. Wasn't there a mention about owls being unsuitable pets on one of the Harry Potter dvds in the special features?
It's disgusting. I can't believe people can be that stupid.

Same thing happens with turtles, snakes, and aligators. People think if you can raise a cat or dog anything can be raised. Amphibians, and reptiles are difficult to keep and keep healthy unless you're committed and know what you are doing. Also, these pets tend to get boring for children. They are cold blooded and far less active that mammals. Parents buy them, month later little sally and jimmy are bored, mom throws it out or the poor creature dies.

If it was easy, I'd love to have an owl though, haha.

EDIT: In the first book, didn't it say some people bring a newt or monkey, or am I making that up? I know there was toad, cat, rat and owl for sure.

Students are allowed to bring one cat, one toad, or one owl according to the first year letter. I'm not really sure how Ron got away with a rat, but then again rules are bent and broken all the time aat Hogwarts.

In North America it isn't even legal to have them unless you are a rehabber or have a falconry license.

I miss it too. I miss the books also.

Of course I'll probably reread/rewatch them sometime soon

Apparently, it's the only worth the price if you don't have the previous six Ultimate Editions and/or the 3D versions of DH 1 & 2.

If you haven't bought all eight movies and were waiting for something close to definitive, I guess this is it. But in my opinion WB should've released separate DVD and Blu versions of the set, instead of packing it all together.

I'm just sticking to my stripped-down set, and hoping to go back to Universal Orlando next year to see the theme park again. Just because the franchise is over doesn't mean I want to abandon it.

apparently there's going to be a cheaper version of the wizard's collection.

No not worth it. 2013 they will announced ultimate or extended editions.

Hopefully extended editions. I still wanna see the alt. ending to Goblet, the explanation of Priori Incantatem, and that 3 hour OOTP cut. Everything else I just wanna see what was cut.
