This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]295874[/split]
I sometimes feel like I'm the only person who truly found Hooper memorable.
So what scene is everyone looking forward to in part 2?
It's a bot. It's stupid and it doesn't have feelings. Why does the bot title the new threads "part 1"? At the very least shouldn't they be titled "part 2" as the stupid bot is the one who closed the implied part 1. So stupid and senseless...

Hooper did write some memorable music, although for me most it was in OOTP. The more memorable ones were the Ministry possession montage ("Possession"), the Dumbledore's Army scenes ("The Room of Requirement") and Umbridge's theme plus a few scattered pieces. It was more than enough for me to buy the CD. HBP was where I felt Hooper was slumming it. There's the superb "Draco's Mission", "In Noctem", "Dumbledore's Farewell", "The Friends" and "Journey to the Cave." But for me the suspense scenes, and the climatic revelation felt badly underscored.
For me, Desplat's score had that emotion and flair that Hooper's scores lacked. Dark and emotionally-charged sequences like Godric's Hallow, the graveyard scene and Malfoy Manor are superbly scored, and throughout the film I noticed lots of motifs and themes for different characters. All of those themes developed and blossomed throughout, something that hasn't been done in the films since "Goblet of Fire".

I can agree his score had more emotion than Hoopers, but there were alot of motifs hooper used, and fleshed out (Luna's theme, Possesion motif, In Noctem, Draco's mission [used moreso in the film than on album]), but that's a fair enough assesment.
what would you like the title changed to?
also, please be sure to spoiler integral scenes or spoilers as there are many who haven't read the books or know what will happen in Part 2.
thanks
I noticed a lot more motifs Desplat introduced in DH. A new Order theme, a theme for the Trio, motif for Voldemort and the Death Eaters (an additional one for Bellatrix), motifs for Dobby, et al. Probably close to a dozen IMO.
And for those fans who complained about Desplat abandoning the style Hooper and Doyle did -- he did pay some stylistic nods to them throughout the score. Plus Hooper and Desplat like using softer instruments and percussion throughout, while Doyle emphasized brass and strings more.
