Has Noah's Ark Been Found?

I expect this to show up on another one of those Discovery or History channel special where the ads claim to uncover a huge secret, but in actuallity they don't find out s**t.

I'm back now...

No discussion was added to what I said, and yesterday was the 4th of July, so I'm sorry I couldn't spend 8 hours on here.

WHY do people continually say that?

If the Biblical God is real, then he WANTED all of those horrible things to happen. 'Cause, first of all, he created the universe and wanted to endow IMPERFECT creatures with "Free-Will".

Knowing that he was the only perfect one, he, before the foundations of time, KNEW that an "imperfect" creature, endowed with "Free-Will", would inevitably choose the wrong path.

The Biblical God CREATED SIN, SUFFERING, EVIL (he brags about the fact that he's the "author of evil" in the Old Testament), etc.

Is "God" the cause?

Abso-freaking-lutely! Because none of it would exist unless God wanted it to exist.

It's simple, 2 year old LOGIC, man!

But do we have to choose evil over good? We're intelligent beings, or at least have the capacity to be. Why shoud we choose evil simply because we know of it? Laws of Nature dictate that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Night and Day. Clean and Dirty. Fast and Slow.

Lucifer was the first to choose evil over light. God's angels were endowed with the capacity to know of both good and evil. Lucifer decided to go with evil and take a few other angels with him. Did he have to choose evil over good? No, it was his choice.

God gave us CHOICE because he LOVES us.

Forced love isn't love, it's RAPE.

Go to North Korea. I hear they have a wonderful dictatorship over there that makes all your decisions for you. See how that works out and get back to me.

I've never understood why people believe whatever is written in the Bible just because "the Bible says so". Strange.

^Those people are called mind slaves or sheep. I understand that the Bible was written by a bunch of guys like you or me who were "divinely inspired" to write it. They could be lying their asses off and even worse, I'm pretty sure a ton of crap has been changed and editted in and out more times than a 3rd grade book report. I take the Bible in moderation.

I kinda like the Bible too, but I prefer by far the ancient Sumerian, Akkadian and Babylonian mythologies that it was based on.

Oh, and Colossal Spoons, I think that your avatar and my avatar should get in a fight. ;)

uh, dude...the point is not that God was nice enough to give us free will, the POINT is, he already KNEW that if he created Lucifer, the angels, and we humans, that some angels and ALL humans WOULD choose evil. So by deciding to create Lucifer, the angels and we humans, he willfully CHOSE himself, to CREATE EVIL.
Without him, there WOULD BE NO child molestation, no Holocaust, no heartache of psoriasis, etc.

Why is it like pulling teeth to get you people to wrap your brains around this very simple, and 100% TRUE concept?
The only answer that makes sense to me is that you just can't bring yourselves to face the gaping holes in beliefs that you can't bear to look at honestly.
:( God.

don't argue with HUMAN he'll never listen to anything you say anyway.

heh, well who could blame him. He's lost in a fantasy world and those are notoriously hard to cast aside in favor of reality.

Oh noes! You said the G-word! In vain! Eternal sodomy in hell for you now for sure!

But that evil sinner will love that. We can't win!

And yet, people like him are typically the ones who support Bush unconditionally no matter what he does and who swallow the "official" version of the 9/11 story without question.

That's what I said, lost in a fantasy world.

i think some people are best of in a fantasy world. i say leave me to my reality and i'll leave you to your fantasy. and then they get all annoyed. but they keep bringing up stuff trying to convince people and it annoys me so we're even.

BTW, Wilhelm, why haven't you posted something interesting in my new 9/11 thread (it's really good this one, it has youtube and everything)?

It goes both ways.

over zealousness is rampant. part of why i don't like opinion pieces. give me the facts and i'll forge my own opinion.

Good deduction. But no. I don't follow Bush or his fake belief in Christianity. Next week Bush will be attending the Bohemian Grove where he'll be worshipping an ancient Babylonian god known as Moloch who is spoken about in the book of Leviticus. He'll participate in the mock sacrifice of a child.

I'm a Constitutionalist. Not a Republican or Democrat. We don't have presidents anymore, we have entertainers.

Right On.

:( God.

If it not for God then we wouldn't have life. It it not for man then we wouldn't have tragedy. To create something is different than to use something.

Ford built my car, but did they make me run over a pedestrian on the sidewalk? No. Rockstar Games made Grand Theft Auto, but did they make me actually go blowtorch someone? No. Remmington made my rifle. Did they make me go shoot somebody with it? No.

To build or create something is one thing. To chose what to do with it is another.
