Superman Returns Has the 3rd act 'grown' on you?

You do realize that events in a film are created by writers. They know that Kitty is a main character, and it is those same writers who neglected to include interraction between Superman and "people" in the film.

Yeah i know that and i still say in the 3rd act Superman has no chance's to talk to anyone.

After watching SR for about the 20th time, i have to say the 3rd act is definately my favourite part of the movie, absolutely awesome 3rd act!

Supes getting his ass kicked by mere mortals (who were relishing it) was the best bit for me along with the plane save (especially the last bit of it).

The 3rd act is very good. Would've been better if they'd explained to the audience how he could lift new krypton without the kryptonite affecting him (Suns rays - recharging)

The Matrix I agree. Batman begins action... i couldn't see a thing. Truly dissapointing.

I'm not saying what he did was right... Buggs does that on numerous occasions, and he knows how I feel about it, so I don't have to repeat myself about it... and considering how he was treated in that earlier post, I'm surprised he didn't lash out even more.

Thanks dude. Somehow these guys miss the fact that they make really rude comments and then expect me to be all nice and happy about it. But again, SR lovers are supposed to be able to do that around here without any apropriate comback. I also found out that when you do respond to their B.S., they instantly cry to a mod. So I decided to play their game and did the same. From now on, any rude comment made about me I will do like they do and go to the mod. I am tired of it being one sided. Why I ahven't been here in a long while. Also been very busy.

VERY good point, the amount of people that go the movies and just DONT pay attention is astonishing! I remember someone coming on here complaining because the crystals didnt grow when Kitty dropped them in the ocean! It took me and 5 others to convince him that she just dropped them on NK.

thats the same what i have been thinking. what the f... should they do? explain a whole sequence in hte movie? should lois and richard talk at the DP how superman lifted NK?

i like how in 1 minute they explained that hes power coems from the sun,kryptonite is radioactive pieces from krypton,and all hes powers.

and since lois told that the sun is hte source of hes powers teh scene where he flys up above the clouds makes sense.

Exactly, its also good for people who dont know about Superman's powers to get a sense of how they operate. Also, the flashback scene on farm of him running through the fields show that he wasnt simply born with those powers, but developed them over time.

Yes.......but that peice of dialogue doesn't explain to the audience how it lessens Green K's effect. (which it shouldn't do by the way).

It didnt lessen Green K's effect though, we could see Superman was struggling from the start through his face, and we could see once the K come through the bottom of NK it started to weaken him by the minute. At least thats how i saw it, even on first viewing.

I may be mistaken but didn't Superman have a Green K implant in his back?

Green K produces immediate and incapacitating weakness in Superman. It doesn't take minutes.

It was only a small piece, but yeah that bit still in his back was stupid and should have been cut.

So speaking as someone who WATCHED the thing.

How did Superman survive the plummett from NK into the ocean? Surely a fall from the height depicted in the film should be fatal to a mortal man, which Superman was, under the effect of the Green K.

They shouldn't have had that little shard left in him, that made it worse. I can understand him overcoming the Kryptonite in NK while he was rising because of "Herculean Effort" and the power up of the son, but the shard was no good for me.

Is there a difference here, if there is I'm missing it.
