Haunt

Yeah, I can't even say I have collections that go that far. I think all I can boast is the complete 90s run of Ghost Rider and the black bagged Death of Superman issue. And maybe a few spot issues here or there that might draw a buck.

It's why I stick to trades, now. I know I'll never get money for the books, so might as well get something for the sake of reading them instead of adding more clutter to my tiny apartment.

I really like this book. At first it was hard getting past the whole "black and white spider-spawn" but the story is cool so far. This year at Baltimore ComicCon I was talking ti Kirkman about Haunt and he said him and Todd have like 3 years of issues already written. Checkout Image United #1 or #2, i can't remember which one but there is a back-up story about the 2 brothers.

I just finished issue 5 and it had some nice surprises. Kurt's rant about why he couldn't be faithful to his wife was particularly well written. The villians still aren't impressing me but it is probably too early for me to expect them to stand out.

It looks as if #6 will give us some more details on Kurt's death, which is necessary. I'm looking forward to that.

His brother died, his ghost haunts him, it bonds with him to form the creature known as Haunt – and all this has dragged poor Daniel Kilgore deep into a dark and dangerous world of espionage and intrigue he never even knew existed. Now it appears these events have taken a much greater toll on him than even he realizes.

I have to admit, i checked this out after laughing at the sperma-man jokes and what can i say. I'm hooked! I know nothing about Spawn but this spawn+spider-man combonation is pretty awesome! Liking the cartoony style, love how FLUID the action flows from panel to panel and yeah the dynamic with the brothers is interesting enough. Liked the conclusion of issue 5 with Kurt smiling.

They need to let the cat out of the bag a little, we need more info.

I hope the comic can sustain its momentum. There have been multiple prints because of sell-outs. That is a good sign but only time will tell.

So I just finished reading 1-5. Granted, I'm not huge on Spawn or Venom and this guy seems to be a mixture of those two, I'll continue to give it a shot for at least a few more issues. It's not terrible, not very good, but mildly entertaining.
