Haven´t we all had a boss like Miranda Priestley?

I just watched The Devil Wears Prada, and while I can´t say it´s the most gut-busting hilarious movie, I couldn´t help but relate to Anne Hathaway´s character´s situation... I believe most people, if not almost everyone, at one point had a boss like Miranda... Impossible to please, never has something nice to say and if you screw one thing up they scream bloody murder, demands a lot and gives crappy payment in return, changes mind all the time... I´d just like to say to Andy, "if she were a woman people would think differently", well, all my Mirandas were dudes, baby, and I gotta say, when you´re the employee it´s just as infuriating and frustrating...

Yeah, I currently freelance for a guy who´s crazy like that too, with the difference that he does all the Miranda **** and then tries to be "buddy boss" the next day, it´s really ****ed up...

I haven't had the misfortune of having one such as Miranda. my current boss is actually pretty nice.

but my brother did freelance for a guy who was a pain in the ass. he'd call our place pretty early looking for him, like 8am on a saturday, and the a$$wipe would end up waking me up. he gave a new meaning to the term "high-maintenance".

In her case I wouldn´t call it exactly stupidity, but mostly arrogance, anal-retentiveness and also kind of the result of being in such a high-pressure position. These jobs unfortunately tend to attract people who´re incredibly anal and have huge egos.
