Infinity Train hurts the most for me.
How else are they gonna avoid taxesWB Discovery sure decided to make their first move to **** over everyone they possibly could.
I don't know, Amazon sure seems to avoid them fine. How else are they gonna avoid taxes
Yeah, but Amazon actually seems to like the film industryI don't know, Amazon sure seems to avoid them fine.
The most recent post better be a frog in a pirate hatAs an aside, I don't want to hear another anti-piracy ad from WB again when they decided to make a chunk of their library only available via piracy.
Is the logic here that they’re trying to make up for these seemingly unsuccessful originals by not profiting from them so they can claim a tax credit?
So are these not going to be available to be seen anywhere again?
They could license them out to other platforms to make some money I think
I’m afraid Netflix might do this at some point as well. Im going to have to stock up on their Criterion releases soon. This is why I like physical media. You own it.
You're not at the whims of any CEO who comes out of nowhere to totally erase art you cherished.
Shave a few mil off the exectives pay package? Nah, take a combined few 100k from dozens of working artists. They’re digging for change in the couch
What a novel approach! Especially for underperforming execs who keep making bad decisions. Best place to start any cost cutting.Shave a few mil off the exectives pay package? Nah, take a combined few 100k from dozens of working artists.
But if its a tax write off, they can't financially benefit from licensing them to any streamer/company. This does seem to be purely a residual thing for less successful properties. Definition of penny pinching by the sounds of it.
When is Zazlav going to start taking a flamethrower to some of the Discovery programmes?
It's like watching gas prices rise, while seeing record profits. It's always those who can at least afford it, that have to take the cut. What a novel approach! Especially for underperforming execs who keep making bad decisions. Best place to start any cost cutting.
