HBO's Entourage

Not really looking forward to the movie. I'm surprised they're actually going through with it. Hopefully, it's able to hit on the earlier goodness, as opposed to what the series spiraled into.

I can't imagine the central plotline.

I'm interested in seeing the film, no doubt, but I'm still stunned it got greenlit. Where's the appeal to the average movie goer? Gotta imagine its gonna be Ari heavy. Since Piven is the only name the uninitiated will recognize.

Looking good. I hope it's better than the last few seasons

It does look really good to see all these characters again but we've all seen the "career riding on the line of the success for a new movie project" plotline. I kinda want something more out of the movie.

I mean I dont expect much more from Entourage. What more can they really do?

The only aspect of Hollywood they didnt really show are Award Shows (Oscars, Globes, etc) and I dont think that would last a whole movie

Admittedly, that looked better than I thought it would. Still skeptical of it working over the course of a movie though.

That little bit did pique my interest. It was such a good run earlier on.

Looks decent. I just hope they don't come back to previous story lines too much.

But Ari being the studio backer is a new element. And I can only imagine how many more jokes there will be revolving around Turtle being skinny now! :woot:

This may turn out to be like the Sex and The City movies… :(

Hopefully Vince is still married to Alice Eve's character.

Why? I hope Vince isnt married to her still. That was so stupid.

He was pretty thin the last 2 seasons of the show.

One of the thing that sucked about the last few seasons was how separate Ari was from the gang. That and his wife turned out to be terrible

THIS!

Vince getting married was flat out dumb

in fact, the entire final season was pretty crappy so i hope the movie makes up for it

I just saw the trailer. I liked the show. Not going to dish out 12-15 bucks to see an extended episode though.

Rewatching the show for the first time in a minute. I think since the movie came out. Maybe a year after. I'm on season 4 now. Still very entertaining, but wow it does not hold up. Call me overly PC all you want but the way they treat and talk about women, LGBTQs, and Asian people is nuts.

I'll cut it off after season 5 thought and watch the movie. I don't need to relive the dreck that is seasons 6-8

I had a rewatch around a year ago and yeah, a lot of the humor or personality traits likely wouldn't fly now. :funny: Ari, alone, was hilariously inappropriate. :o

I cut bait after Season 4. Didn't need to deal with the last half of the series again.

I still think 5 is good. And it feels different than the rest of the seasons with the guy's back against the wall. But yeah after that, I'm good

Finished seasons 1-5. Still very funny but yeah very dated.

I'm surprised that the movie isn't on HBO Max. I can't imagine what the rights issue could be that keeps it off the service. It's an HBO (Time Warner) production

I was wondering if this show would hold up. I'll bet there won't be a reboot though. At least Emanuelle will be on Superman and Lois.

I love Entourage. The last season was pretty terrible but the movie made up for it and wrapped things nicely.

As much as I would love to see a continuation either with another movie or a sequel series now that Ari became head of a major studio, sadly the show’s content would not fly in today’s overly exaggerated PC world
