HBO's Game of Thrones - - Part 16

Well at least he has some screen presence (helps that he's butchering smaller people). I didn't even realize that guy in Season 2 was the Mountain until someone said his name.

Honestly, I don't like the new Mountain. He's too young to look like the Hound's older brother. I'm not sure why season 2 Mountain gets so much flack.

Gregor's supposed to be the strongest man in Westeros. Ideally Conan Stevens would have returned but he burnt his bridges with HBO when he opted to do the Hobbit instead. Season 2 Gregor was a tall lanky man, older yes, but not a man who seemed like he could be feasibly one of most powerful men alive.

Game of Thrones spoiler for last night: Only Littlefinger would think “I could have been your dad” is a good line before making a move.

I don't see a problem with the new Mountain. I never would have guessed he was 24 and the guy is still a mammoth. It's really not a big deal if he isn't 6'10-7'1.

Yeah his height can be somewhat worked around but he also looks way younger than the actor playing the Hound (he is about 20 years younger actually), so it throws you off when he's supposed to be the older brother.

I do agree he is a better choice than the guy from last season though.

As long as he looks much bigger than Oberyn that should be enough I guess.

Edit: Yeah The Hound could be his dad.

Wow. What an episode.

Incredibly emotional moment between Oberyn and Tyrion. Loved that scene.

As for Littlefinger. Gee whiz!

I didn't like Lysa at all, so I was pretty happy to see that happened. Only if Robyn would have been there too so he could "fly" as well.

Oberyn has been awesome in every scene since his intro for me. And this gives Dinklage even more of a campaign for an award just a week after the trial.

Pedro Pascal has done such an incredible job.

Do not read if you haven't read the book:

Makes me sad he won't be with us for much longer. :(

Gettin half ya face melted tends to make one look a bit older and more weathered.

I can't imagine him not being awesome [BLACKOUT]during the trial by combat so he'll have gone out with a ridiculously high awesome-to-screen-time ratio & zero seconds of less-than-awesome through his entire run.

Must be surreal for him to read about being called way too short. Wonder how often he's had that before in life. :woot:

the new mountain doesn't look that much younger than the hound. the hound's supposed to look like **** with half his face burnt off and all.

What many dont know is that the Mountain is quite the beauty expert. So when the rumor that fire does wonders for the complexion began making the rounds in Westeros he had to try it out, but he wasnt going to try it himself and risk his own shining complexion so he volunteered his brother for trials.

Best way to choose Mountains would be for them to fight it out of course.

And what's the excuse for the other half of his face that still looks older?

Westeros lol.:hehe:

Seriously tho the Hound has a half burnt face. Scraggly hair and scraggly facial hair and is wearing old beat up armor and he is filthy. This new Mountain has short hair, fairly well kempt facial hair, and was bare chested and a beast of a man. He also wasnt filthy and covered in dirt. The Hound is never going to win that contest of looks and would look older. Just about anyone who lacks basic hygiene and health looks older than they are. Thats why I dont really care about the Mountain looking younger. Superficial looks arent a good indicator of true age.

He looks younger because the dude is 20 years younger, let's just deal with it.

To me the guy doesnt look like 24 year old tho. Looks more like he is in his late 30s. So it really doesnt bother me at all. He passes as The Hounds older brother for me.
