-Warner owns 70% of the hi-def formats, and plans to abandon
HD DVD formats, and using Blu-ray exclusively,

    -
Variety reports that the two remaining studios backing HD DVD
(Universal, Paramount/Dreamworks) could switch sides soon, ending the high-def format war instantly.

Does this mean we can expect Transformers on Blu-ray sometimes soon?
Anyone know? That would be great. Discuss.

When their contract is up, yeah.

Meaning, it could be as late as Feb 2009.

Unless they manage to get out of their exclusive contract, which seems unlikely.

    I'm just hoping the 360 gets a Blu-ray add-on.

I very much doubt that Sony will help their number one rival game console company make money..... but there's alway hope.
