God of War is awesome... well God of War 1 anyway. I have a lot of issues with God of War 2, I mean it's not bad, but there are a lot of design decisions taht are basically 'wft?'. Can't wait to see GoW3 and Chains of Olympus though. Really looking forward to heavenly Sword, despite the 7.5-8.5 range of reviews the characters and presentation are so impressive and 'real' taht I have no problem admitting that I'm looking forward to the presentation the most.

Woman, without spoiling me, what the fack are those bad design decisions in GoW2?

Well before I get into that keep in mind that I think Electro is insane about his complaints about the battle system. But yeah, maybe you should play the game before I go into detail.

Non spoiler: The game world doesn't feel nearly as involved as the original, there's no giant temple that everything is connected into, you're basically heading in one direction the entire game and it have little to no backtracking through previous environments in new ways.

I still have the game shrinkwrapped, but since I'm currently working on the hard mode on the first game, I might as well wait some more and play it on my soon to be mine widescreen HDTV.

I think I'm going to trade in Spider-Man 3 and Tony Hawk's Project 8 when I go to pick up this game. It'll shave a few bucks off the price, and it'll save me the shelf space of keeping 2 games that I'll likely never revisit.

I finally get some games this week! With Heavenly Sword coming in and hopefully Warhawk, I'll have some games other than VF5 and TK5. Both good games but fighting games can get old fast

And let's face it....in God of War's case, not calling it a freaking classic is practically the same thing as hating it.

Not really, but your on the right track. Substitute jews for bagels and you've got it!!! And while we're talking about poor GOW2 design decisions, why did they devolve the arial combat!?! It's not like you had to use it, but the option is there, and I spent A LOT of time in the air in GOW. And why take out the shoulder ram, when R1 could be the SR on the ground, and in the air it would react to the swinging parts. If they really wanted it they could've fit it in. And I don't like how the only way you can use a costume is if you have all your powers and weapons. I still go back to GOW, cuz the BoC gameplay and story are just plain better in my opinion.

If its a freakin' classic, then the Onimusha series, is too... but no one seems to agree.

Its a good, decent, enjoyable game, but there are many games in the genre better, that don't get the same recognition.
