Whew, I'm almost glad my internet connection's busted at home and I couldn't watch that earlier. I'll just go ahead and avoid it altogether now. Thanks for the warning, GL1.
I would really like to know how large the Chonicles are to justify spending $5.00 each on them. We know there will be at least 4 of them (probably more) and it could get pretty expensive.
I just spent $5 on the Pinnacle Station DLC for Mass Effect, which made me feel dirty and abused. I'm sure the Chronicles will at least be better than that, so $5 is okay to me.

I'm shutting myself off from any previews or trailers. The game will be out soon, I can resist that long.

I could've sworn there's a link here that said DLC would be about an hour long. 5/hr doesn't sound very bad at all, imho.

Demo is hiden on the store. Here is how to get it.

Head on over to http://www.precinct52.com/case1117_briefing (assuming you’re signed up) and then choose 4 pieces of evidence. They are:
The four pieces of evidence are:
• Short cigarette (117b)
• Origami bird
• Coffee shop C (it says "diner")
• 117h (tyre tracks).

You will get a PSN code to unlock it.

have you downloaded it?

Not yet. The site got hit real hard and is down. :csad:

Found this on another site. I am going try it out:

Guide:

1. Go to
http://heavyrainps3.com/reg...
and register
2. open http://www.precinct52.com/c... in multiple tabs in firefox (site does simply not load in IE)
3. Enter registration info from #1
4. Select continue and select
• Short cigarette (117b)
• Origami bird
• Coffee shop C (it says "diner")
• 117h (tyre tracks).
5. After picking all the evidence go to file dossier and submit.

All there steps might take multiple tries and refreshing. I had 3pcs of evidence but then i lost connection and had to refresh the page.

Gotta try this out when I get home today.
if it works. Looks like the site crashed and I think people will be trying all day. Hopefully its back up and running later. I fear there will only be a limited amount of codes though

Eh, if I miss it, it's not a big deal. I'm buying Heavy Rain anyway, and I've got plenty of games to fill my time for the next two weeks.

has it been reported how long one playthrough will roughly be?

Just got my code. Some are saying the demo is 20+ minutes. If you miss out on it, it is being released next Thursday on the store.

Just found out that the code is for EU accounts, not US. Luckily I have one.

For some reason, the US store didn't allow me to DL it. I had to DL from the EU store.

It was a bit slow but I got it, cheers for the info  I'm downloading it now.

Tried it, but it's way too slow, I'll just wait till the demo comes up regularly or until the game hits

For rizzles. The whole concept of a secret demo seems odd to me. I thought demos were meant to sway people on the fence into buying the game, but the people who'd go out of their way to get a code and download it probably already intend to buy the game anyway.

Wow, this game really is something else. It's a good demo, doesn't give much away, so it's pretty safe to play I think. Just don't watch the trailer attached to the end.

My only beef with it is how they present the button ques. The thought ques float around you while the environment interaction ques are often small or awkwardly angled. Both make it more difficult to do the right thing which often interrupted the flow of the game. It was a tad annoying, especially as the game's all about the mood and atmosphere, but I kept getting drawn out of it thinking about the buttons. Hopefully that'll improve the more you play it though. That atmosphere is definatly there, it's a quality game.

Seems like something you'd get used to over time, same as Indigo Prophecy's weird "slide the stick in a backwards L motion to open the door" controls. It's a pretty radical departure from traditional control schemes.
