No one did because the pedigree behind this movie sucks. But did anyone actually believe him? It's not like the previous G.I. Joe movies were highbrow art, why would this one be any different?
What do you expect him to say? It's like actors promoting anything else they're in. You're not going to talk bad about the film. The star of the movie says it's great. It must be true.
Yes. She's alluring and exotic, but she doesn't leave much of an impression. She does fight a little in the film. Wasn't all that memorable.

Sure, most reviews seem to suggest it is very cookie cutter and by the numbers but it's not like the star of the movie is going to say that.
That I do agree with.I think it would've been less annoying if he didn't try to trash other superhero films. Just say "Our movie looks great, I think you're gonna like it!" Don't throw other, superior movies under the bus to try and hype up your own.
The script and direction here did him no favors. Same with Andrew Koji. When he got mad, he looked like a pouting kid throwing a temper tantrum. It didn't look natural. And I know Andrew Koji is capable of better from Warrior.
Did you have any tasty buttered popcorn with your viewing
I think I'm more disappointed because I wanted to be proven wrong about my instincts for this film. Right from Goldens initial casting, I felt this was gonna be off.
Fantastic popcorn flick. Hollywood finally gets it right with Asian characters & setting. Audiences can be cruel today, but anyone with an open mind will have a great time.

Exactly. How in the world did he think that bashing the superhero genre would somehow help his movie...considering that there is a MASSIVE overlap in fandoms?
Besides...you know darn well he'd join an MCU movie tomorrow if they wanted to hire him. Now I hope they never do.
That's the part I didn't like, not so much hyping up the movie, same with Hama. Hama is just being a good sport, and Golding is the start attempting to get his own franchise. It's part of the gig. But like there was no reason to trash other films to make yours look good.
Also for Hama, the man served in the military and fought in Vietnam. He will always have my respect for that alone. I can easily forgive him endorsing this film.
Is Hama the person who reimagined GI Joe into what we know of it today or is it someone else or a group of people over the years? I have no knowledge of this franchise other than the basics.
