Lol if you don't wanna quote Dane Cook, my name is Andrea. I'm a woman not a bro :o I have no problem with you and your opinions, but all I've seen of you on these boards has been the quick, sarcastic part. So you'll have to forgive me for laughing at what honestly appeared to be a thread created while on some sort of substance. Next time I'll be sure to answer you seriously

Since you ARE a writer, I will tell you that the metaphors in particular are what I found cliche. It was pretty, but if I were to critique it, I'd want something a little fresher. Not a bad bit of prose though.

Thanks, Andrea. :) The weirdest thing is that I was referring to actual events. I actually have poured paint into a bathtub and watched the colors escape into the drain. And to me that was very symbollic. I can see what you're saying though. It does some kind of cliche when you think about it.

Yes. I do have a shovel. And anyway it's not random strangers. Someone once made a post about if people were the same on the internet or different. I don't know who made the thread but Wilheim was one of the people speaking in it a lot...

The point is: when people aren't trying to be cocky and just being normal, no matter how weird of a question you ask, you'll receive a decent answer. When people are "online" however, they tend to be something one of my faded friends dubbed an "internet tough guy". As in someone who is quick to be a jerk.

Personally, I'm very sarcastic and quick to make jokes. However, not when someone is serious. And I never mock peoples memories or dreams or thoughts. Not saying that any of you are said tough guys or fake or anything. But walk up to a random group of kids at your campus and ask a question...they won't say stupid crap. You might here a joke but the question will be answered. Some of the responses, as I said seem more like highschool answers....though that makes sense since a lot of us are in HS.

I guess that is to answer what Logan said.

Trying to be serious on the internet is always a mistake. Expecting others to be serious on the internet is another mistake. Being surprised when either doesn't go as planned is just naive.

You also seem convinced that if you walked up to a group of kids 'on campus' and repeated what you said in the original post, that it would automatically start an intelligent and meaningful conversation. Maybe I just don't understand people, but I'd expect to get just as flippant a response or a simple 'wtf' facial expression.

There are times and places to express anything without people making fun or staring at you like you're insane. The Hype isn't always that place.

I don't think anyone has a problem with the message, dude. It's your delivery that is chum for the balls busters here. Try delibrating some of the excess metaphors from your rants and you'll likely be better received. Ya dig?
demento pinpointed the entire purpose of my reply.

Everyone wastes years of their lives... But really, what are we intended to do with our lives? All we do is slowy waste it away through the years.

I'm high off the happydust and seeking rainbow bath water manipulation

Yea, I had like a midlife crises at 16 and realized like, holy frik, enjoy s**t because after highschool there's university/college, and if not that then work, and that's the rest of your goddamn life.

holy CrAp. :down

I agree.

I wonder if any of you ever get that feeling where you remember something from your past and you still cringe or feel embarrassed or just think back?

I still try to live my life without regrets, but remembering and regretting are two different things

......Dude. You need to lay off the Linkin Park CDs.

I was trying not to just say it but...No it's not a mistake to be serious on the internet. I just shouldn't be serious with someone that's immature. Besides you've been talking this whole time as if you're telling me something or that you're right.

No one even agrees with you. Everyone's just like "WTF, CF" because of HOW I phrased things, not what I said. You have no idea what you're talking about you just like thinking you're right.

Pointing out what you said about....yourself(!!)....was not "getting" you. You just don't know anything about it. I really did agree with that, no sarcasim there. I've actually done that before, and it didn't get the reactions you talk about. I actually DID get real answers.

But your flaw is that you took my analogy to a campus so literal that you make me look like a psycho. No, I would not directly walk up and say "blah blah blah" but if in class...if I stood up and said it, people would understand. If I were talking to friends classmates and others and random people walked over, they would respond normally. And such has happened.

As with the post, it's the same thing. I started talking. You clicked to see what I had to say. You came to me.

More than that..You must hang out with spammers and trolls online. Internet does not mean random crazy fun time. This is how I'm saying you're either immature or inexperienced with people. I'm not saying this in a malicious way. Like it's one thing to be sarcastic or joking or something [now I'm just repeating myself], but if you honestly believe that crap about not being serious or expecting seriousness from people....then you're the mistaken naive one.

......Dude. You need to lay off the Linkin Park CDs.

Linkin Park is awesome. This CD was not soo good but it was still very talented. It just is the kind of CD where you have to be in the mood.

Life is depressing and fleeting us by the moment . better enjoy what you can.

Chinesefood deserves a little reality check here...simply put, i wish this ^ guy posted here.

dude...way too over dramatic and corny as hell...you are taking yourself waaaaay too seriously. If you had given the thread context, THEN your first post would work...but for the love of god, anyone who comes off that "real" and then defensive deserves a good tongue lashing...and not the good kind ;)

But for you the internet is a place for you to express your feelings of regret/joy/whatever...correct?

Time and place man...even the internet has those rules.

lmao speaking of cliche...What will come after pictures, I wonder...?

Not over dramatic, I expressed a simple point from how I was feeling. To say that I take myself too seriously....you must not have read any of my posts ever before. No offense, but I'm actually laughing at that in real life. The lol would just belittle how funny that is.

I know when to joke and stuff, it's just your buddy was being kind of self righteous..All I did was to defend my side.

So show me this ultra defense and like the other people in the thread...like Andrea for instance...who made actual sense I can accept being wrong or whatever you want to call me. As long as you're right, I'm not above look at your view.

And what? You're trying to cheat me out of a tongue lashing?

....the good kind? :cwink:

No I meant that I was allowing you to have the privilege of being crazy and stuff. You ruined my joke, bro..

It doesn't? :(

This is you serious, huh? Seems by your next comment that you already had a clear view of how things should be.

Please don't insult my intelligence. I have not done so with you. Even if you disagree with things I've said or whatever, I've given everyone respect.

You and others seem to be banning together (odd how a few begin to agree after I mentioned that no one is agreeing).....for this futile attempt to make me saying that seem like some kind of "thing".

It's not that big of a deal to me. Please do not confuse defending against people whom I think are wrong against being "defensive" which denotes some kind of negative or bitter undertone. I'm cool with everything.

Attempting to make me backtrack over my words with silly comments is kind of that immaturity thing I was talking about. I stated earlier that I've never joked around with someones beliefs or whatever if they were serious. So saying patronizing things...That I mistook for you kidding, and then tried to kid with you...you claim to be serious, and then throw my own quote back at me?

I can see so clearly where this is going. End.
