I'm loving Wolverine's solo and Origins books, and his role in New Avengers, not to mention all his other 'guest' appearances, but the same question keeps coming up among fans - why, O why, can't Wolverine seem to win a fight? Was he neutered somewhere along the line, and we just missed that issue?

JQ: dasNdanger, Fear not. Logan't about to win the biggest fight of his career. It's an eye-popping moment that everyone's going to be talking about this July.

I don't know what the guy's talking about, Logan always losing...but whatever.

I just wanted to see what everyone thought 'Logan's biggest fight' would turn out to be. Obviously, the easy guess would be that he'd (somehow) defeat the Hulk, but I figured we could come up with some other options (and will still probably be wrong ).

Is this proof that Wolverine is going to beat down the Hulk? If so I may have to just give up on X-Books...

I mean... who else could he beat? There's really no on the Marauders that're impressive enough to defeat "eye-poppingly" unless he finally kills Sabretooth for good.

If Marvel has Wolverine kill Cyke, I'm burning my collection and Marvel will never see another dime from me. But I don't see how they could possibly do that without turning their preciout cash cow into a villain, so I'm not too afraid of that. It's probably just more JQ being an @$$, trying to stir up a reaction.

If I had to guess, since I say there's no way Logan stands a real chance against the Hulk one-on-one, I'd say it would be a final, ultimate victory over Sabretooth. I'm sure they could bring that fight around somehow.

Wolverine offing/beating Sabretooth makes sense. Wolvie killing Cyclops....wha? I hope not. Unless Cyke is possed by Nova and this is the one way we can get rid of her for good......

My guess is that Wolverine "MIGHT" do a little damage to the Hulk, resulting in him popping his eye out. Maybe out of berzerker rage, or by strategic design... It's just a guess though.

It's *always* bugged me that there's a rivalry between Hulk and Wolverine even though Logan first appeared in Hulk's book. A street level character, no matter how "OMG badazz!!!" should be nothing more than gnat to the Hulk.

As far as JQ mentioning 'eye popping' in that article...

I read that article over in Newsarama.If i'm not mistaken,he kept mentioning that over and over again and not just during this one Q and A about Wolverine.

There's nothing wolverine does can have any 'eye-popping' effect on me.
His way of winning anything never amazed me, and I'm sure it's not going to change anytime soon.

There's no need to lose an eye just to fit a codename, but I guess everything can be fixed in X-world, Rogue got her hand grow back in Ult.

Having a red vision in your entire life is hard enough and that it can drive a normal person nuts. I hope he doesn't lose an eye just like what happened in AoA and also because he doesn't have Daredevil's radar-like ability. And besides he already has his visor that makes him a Cyclops.
