if Will Smith is Manta, I think Jaden will be Kaldur in the Aquaman movie, i can see him as Kaldur more than I can see him as Static.

Donald Glover would make a good older Static, it's a shame he's not younger, he'd be ideal

i'm not familiar with many young actors , and I think Static should go to a high school aged actor. Jaden Smith probably has the ability to do it justice though, I don't think he's going to turn in another After Earth level performance any time soon, so he definitely wouldn't be the worst for the role.

I imagine it's a supporting role rather than being in Suicide Squad. I imagine he and Amanda Waller have some sort of agreement that he'll fund it in exchange for less jail time or freedom.

I think Amanda Waller should be played by Viola Davis, she has the chops to play someone who is not afraid of getting her hands dirty and is the most formidable character in the DC Universe who is neither a villain or a hero.

I'm totally down with Luthor being involved in this, but I hope they don't swap out Waller for him. Waller is one of the most interesting African-American female characters in comics (and one of the few who typically isn't built like a supermodel) and it would be a shame to see her get sidelined.

It's a little different. Batman is a hero, Lex Luthor is a villain. The whole premise is "jailed villains work for government black ops missions to reduce sentence." Depending on what happens in BvS, it's not a crazy stretch.

The roster for this thing is what I'm really curious about. People want Harley Quinn in it, and that's understandable because she's incredibly popular. But I also have to compare this to that Sinister Six movie that may or may not happen and it seems like nobody wants. Do people really want to see a movie that's all about villains? And even if it's villain fighting for a noble cause, will that gel with mainstream audiences? I guess some of these characters are more gray areas... Deadshot is pretty much just an amoral hired gun, and Deathstroke (if they throw him in) can occasionally be seen as a good guy. But someone like Harley is just a flat out psycho best known for her affinity with an even BIGGER psycho. Could that work in a movie? I don't know. I'm certainly interested though.

Yeah... he was in Secret Six though, which was sort of a substitute Suicide Squad for a while there (and featured Deadshot). Actually, I'd rather see a Secret Six movie if they included Catman (though they should probably come up with a cooler name for him, lol).

Yes, Suicide Squad would definitely be on my list of movies DC SHOULD make. This isn't really like DC's SInister Six. It's more like DC's Thunderbolts. It could totally work, but yea, I definitely don't know why people want Harley or why she is even on the team in the comic? I get that she is popular, but she's not very useful to this premise I think.

Well I guess, I just think it's more people jumping to conclusions. Not everyone in the movie is going to be part of the Squad.

Harley is capable of seduction and torture and is a licensed therapist. She will have spent quite some time trying to get one over on Batman (arguably the best ninja in the world) by the time we see her, and probably picked up a few clever tricks and whatnot along the way. I don't doubt they'll be able to find something for her to do.
