oh no you put me in my place i dont know what to do now lolYou're giving the original Highlander far too much credit. Please stop talking.

I saw him in Wolverine, Buried and Green Lantern and except for Buried, I just saw R Reynolds playing R Reynolds.
Maybe he is good in comedies but that genre doesn't interest me.
I thought that Highlander was an endlessly mediocre cheese fest that had an interesting plot. It shouldn't be hard to top it IMHO.
Rewatching some of the fights, they weren't really all that great. Well, by today's standards. Although the fight against Donnie Yen in Endgame was awesome.

Maybe it is but it is also cult classic and if it was that bad it wouldn't have 2 sequels, 2 TV shows and 2 or 3 TV movies ( note : I only really like the first movie ).

t:problem is Reynolds always plays Reynolds
he is no chris evans who i feel is a superior actor
I like this post and agree with it whole heartedly. That being said I'm still eh on Reynold's being the star of it because I'm wondering if they will hire Reynolds to be funny or not?Watch Reynolds in Chaos Theory, Fireflies in the Garden and The Nines. Then try to tell me he's a bad actor.
Anyway, yea, the Highlander films have been schlocky B-movies at best. Looking back at the first one Lambert's acting is soooooo bad it's hilarious. It's a great concept that has never really met it's potential fully.

Yeah, Highlander is no where near as good as A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Fly or The Thing. Those movie's hold up, Highlander does not. Of course this is my opinion.
( JUST kidding, you have the right to not like this movie )Like the first Mad Max, like the Rocky Horror Picture Show, like the first Freddy ( Nightmare on Elm Street ), like The Fly ( the remake with Goldblum ), like the Thing ( the remake with Russel ) and so on.
Note : I only speaks about the first Highlander.
Exactly, not wanting an actor for a role doesn't mean that you think that the actor is bad, it just means that you don't want that actor for the role.I think Reynold's a very good actor at times, given the right direction. But I stand by what I said, I just don't think he's right for the Highlander role, and it's got nothing to do with acting ability.
Mad Max, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Fly and The Thing were GREAT movies that still hold up today.
Highlander? Not really. Like i said, looking back at it now, it really was a bad, yet fun, movie. Lambert's acting was just... laughably bad. But it kinda makes it endearing.
Is that a fact or your opinion ? I will think the later.
I agree on Lambert acting, he is not very good in most of his movies but AFAIC, Highlander stills holds up today next to the aforementioned movies.
Anyway, Highlander even if some people don't like it is still a cult classic and deserve some respect if it is remade.
I'm not feeling it too much either.Personally I don't like the idea of RR for the role as Highlander either. I don't have anything against the guy or his acting abilities, I just feel like "Can't they think of any other actors?"
