I just watched the movie, and it was unbearable!
I'm sorry but I have lost all faith in Duncan Macloud.

Which dvd? There are two cuts out there to buy legally. The Russia dvd is 94 min long and the Dutch dvd is 86. Both versions have alternate takes, different dialouge, different CGI for the planets, different music, different voice over beginning and a ending, edited down end fight, less crappy dialouge from the bad guy, etc. The Dutch dvd is actually the USA (Sci-Fi cut) final version.

The Sci-Fi/Dutch cut airs Spet 15th at 9pm on Sci-Fi.

That sucks. I was hoping it would be good. Why hasn't Hollywood remade that yet? Give it to someone capable so they could make a worthy franchise out of it. (I can't believe I just suggested a remake).

If Highlander got remade or 'reboot' as some say...it can't be hard to get the continuity right in it. By that,...only HL, HL4, and HL5, are tied into the tv show, and even then HL is just loosely tied in.

As it stands, what you see on tv for free will be the cut released onto dvd in region 1. Unless a third cut is made just for region 1 dvd or the Russia cut is released. Anyway, the dvd hasn't been announced yet. Hopefully it will include some extras.

Highlander sequels are jaw-droppingly awful. It's a fact of life since time began.

That's the cut that will air on Sci-Fi next month.

In the very least, it has less crappy dialouge and antics from The Guardian and the end fight has been edited down (needed to be, too) than what appears in the Russian cut.

the "princes of the universe" cover featured in this movie is just awful, the whole movie is a kick in the face, that is a shame, the first movie and the series was the support of the whole franchise, there´s no need of these cheap sequels and spin offs:

Highlander 2 - even the renegade version can´t save this futuristic mess
Highlander: The Final Dimension - almost a complete remake of the first
Highlander End Game: looks like a decent tv movie made for fans, this was supposed to be the end of the movie´s franchise.
Highlander: The Source - a complete joke, with the most boring story and the crappiest visual effects

I haven´t seen the anime Highlander: The Search for Vengeance, but a friend told me is better than any of the sequels above

I have not seen this, and I am afraid to....

I enjoyed the tv show and the characters immensely, and I don't want that memory tainted by filth... Adrian Paul and his co-stars deserve better.

Damn, this movie sucks.
And the villain is nothing but some bad, cliche, monster. It's like they are trying to make him out to be Kurgan-lite.

Highlander: the Source......one of the most incredibly bad movies of all times. I like the Highlander series......I like Adrian Paul.......but MY GOD, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT PIECE OF CRAP ALL ABOUT???????

I was taping it so that my wife could watch later (she loves Highlander and Paul).....she walked through and saw the first fight between Duncan and the Pillsbury Dough Boy on steroids.....she said I didn't have to finish taping it for her.
