It does reveal and go into some more descriptions, but doesn't really tell us much else we don't already know. Though I'm not sure how well balanced the film will be, sounds very busy and like there's a lot going on.

Who the hell is the love of Duke's life if Scarlett and Snake Eyes are supposed to be involved according to El Mayimbe? I'm curious.

The guys who've read the script, El Mayimbe and Destro have posted a lot of answers about it in the threads.

They do mention that Cobra Commander is there and he is masked. And they both I think seem to reinforce that this is the start of COBRA basically. And I suppose Destro is the main villain or basically I think one of them said the "Grand Moff Tarkin".

I suppose that makes Cobra Commander the Emperor Palpatine of the movie.

But I dunno. I wonder if Cobra Commander is actually there under our noses . . . or maybe the noses of the Joes.

It might be Cover Girl- he got involved with some chick who filled a similar role in the Lovett/Ellison draft.

According to the thread, Cover Girl is basically a secretary type of character.

That's her job, but she can still have a relationship with Duke. The woman in the old draft had a similar role.

BTW- Here's how I phrased my email to Mayimbe:

"The Scarlett/Snake Eyes romance- is it in?"

The reply I got was "Of course."

I specifically used the word "Romance," for sure.

O.K reading that i get the inkling that this is the origin of Cobra. This quote:

and the fact that he doesn't use the word 'Cobra', leads me to believe as such.

Cover Girl is a possibility. And she did have a crush on Duke in the Marvel comics, IIRC, so it has a small nugget of history.

Ok, I can see Cobra being the Ducard/Al Ghul like figure.

I was trying to suggest one of the CC is moonlighting as a Joe.

Like they turn Snake Eyes into Cobra Commander :p .

SO TRUE! I mean whats the deal here? There is no reason to review the movie but say absolutely 'zip' about Cobra Commander. What gives? What is there such a integral mysterious plot point like Scarlett turns out to be the Commander or something?!?

That's what it seems to be hinting that. OK not Scarlett is CC, but that the identity of CC is probably a big plot twist. Maybe who we think is Destro is in fact CC.

They both talk about this like being COBRA Begins and compare it to Batman Begins. Well what happened there? Ducard and Ra's al Ghul, two comic canon characters. And they combined them. Who we thought was Ducard turned out to be Ra's Al Ghul.

Note that this is all just theories and pure speculation.

I think it'd be kinda silly to have CC turn out to BE someone like Destro or something...that's ******ed..they should be separate characters.

Now Hollywood LOVES ****ing cool stuff up because they think people will like it or because they think it'll get them lots of money..they just end up pissing people off...however from what I hear this flick is headed in the right direction.

I loved Transformers...I mean they toyed around with it a bit but overall a very very awesome movie! I just hope that G.I. Joe turns out to be the same is all....

I guess having Shipwreck as the submarine commander makes more sense of having him as part of the character list now. They're really trying to hit home the Joe motto "fighting for freedom over land and sea and air"...well either that or Hasbro is making them try to promote as many new toy tie-ins as possible.

Given who they've hired to play Duke, maybe the "love of his life" is a dude. We did hear a rumor that Cobra Commander was suppose to be Duke's "friend" at one point in time...

    ...kidding...sorry, I'm still irked by Tatum's casting. :(

Very little, besides some more descriptions of the vehicles.

They both give away some more in the actual threads for the reports.

Interesting that Paramount had it taken down from Latino review, but you can still read the whole thing in full here, LOL!

Don't see anything wrong with gay heroes. But back to the original question, maybe they're going to pair Duke up with a new (non-Joe) female side character? Or maybe they could use Cover Girl instead.

There is absolutely no reason to invent a character in a world where there are hundreds of characters already and no9ne of them have been explored in this medium.

Roughly 99% of men in the military are boyfriends to civilian girls. I could easily see them having Duke in a relationship with a new civie chick character with no military connections, and that would be realistic. Still, I could see them using Cover Girl as Duke's main squeeze if they want a girl who's a bit closer to the action.

Really, Duke has no room to complain about Snake Eyes getting Scarlett when he gets to come home to thist:
