'Hocus Pocus' being remade by Disney Channel

Then burn it with fire!

I can already see the cast: Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kate McCKinnon

And why would a remake star the original cast?

Disney Channel couldn't afford them. Not that they would have saved it anyway.

Disney Channel is at the same stage now than it was in the mid-to-late 2000's, so this is 100% likelly going to suck.

Member' when Disney Channel kept churning out annual Halloween tv movies?

And why would a remake star the original cast?

Yeah, I second this. Why is that weird? Also, when the hell did Hocus Pocus become some untouchable classic? It's not that good. Remake it all you want.

This was all brought upon since that petition/suggestion to do it with the ladies from Hidden Figures wasn't it? Fine by me.

Someone should remake Teen Witch. I like Teen Witch.

They should remake Teen Wolf.

Errr, wait...

I just don't get why they feel they have to remake it. It's fine and doesn't need a remake. Why not find a new property to work with?

It's as if just about all Disney does any more is remakes of old properties, with the odd new one thrown in here and there.

Well, this sucks. Another unnecessary reboot.

Imagine the kids of this generation watching this one instead of the original.

I'm imagining showing my daughter the remake instead of the original... and the world is still spinning.

Didn't they remake Adventures in Babysitting recently? And yeah, they are gonna tone down a LOT if it's on Disney Channel.

Pointless just show the original

I like your Avatar.

Would you be willing to show your younger generation a made-for-TV remake of Big Trouble in Little China instead of the original? If the younger ones know nothing about what came before it, the crappy remakes will dissolve any possibility of them being blown away by the first experience of the property.

I get this is modern Disney Channel, so not a lot of confidence there, but how many good remakes/reboots/sequels do we need to get before we stop automatically condemning something based purely on the fact that it exists? The original isn't even that good.
