Angela Yin
Ken Ellis

Marcy Kane
Chip from ESU (who got slaughtered by Carnage)
Dude, you could do this forever...

I remember half of those. BTW it was Shanshan and she was a great character for Flash's growth and I liked how he screwed it up by cheating with Betty (wh owas married).

Ah, well.

You might throw Johnny Storm in there from the early days. Guest star, but supporting nonetheless. :D

:ff: :ff: :ff:

[jokesada]Supporting cast, who needs a supporting cast, when he's got new powers, unmasked and soon to be single[/jokesada]
The rooftop bunnies were Candy, Barbie and... Mandy... I think that's wrong...
*Flips through the Marvel Encyclopedia Vol.4* Candi, Bambi and Randi... close enough

I think it is funny Joe Q wants to bring back the supporting cast when he and JMS decided to axe that idea back in 2001. Outside of Jenkins good stories that had the crazy Aussie neighbor and the hot neighbor and Randy, etc. there has been no supporting cast other than MJ, Aunt May and occassionally Black Cat for the last 5 or 6 years.

At the time, I didn tlike the idea of Gwen Stacy's family being introduced into Peter's life. It seemed unnecessary and a cheap stunt. But now I wish that we saw more of them. Their reaction to Peter's unmasking would have been interesting.

Who can understand jokesada...
I miss the supporting cast, even Paul Stacy...

Instead of just naming cast members, what cast members do people miss the most?

I miss alot of Ben's cast including the Daily Grind crew. Well, everyone except Desiree who got on my nerves. I dug Jimmy-Six's style. I also miss Ken Ellis who was a GREAT addition to the Daily Bugle (He did appear semi-recently in a Cable/Deadpool issue a year or so ago). I would love to see Miss Muggins back in Peter's life in some way. And seeing Deb Whitman again last year was great. I would also REALLY like to see Ashley Kafka showcasing her Ravencroft psychological skills again. Maybe DeMatties will bring her back...

Now, who I didn't like...

I didn't like the crazy Australian guy, because it read like a stereotype (I'm half-Australian and lived in Sydney for a good chunk of my childhood and no one talks that way.) Another bad Aussie example is when Boomerang appears and will insert outdated Australian phrases into conversation that make no sense in the context he's using it, or he'll combine two Aussie slang words that don't really fit together. As a general rule, I don't really like it when writers make foreign characters into stereotypes (think of all the times a French character has randomly screamed "Sacre Bleu!"). It's not a PC thing. It irks me because it seems unnatural and takes me out of the story. Maybe I should lighten up. :yay: Anyway I went off on a tangent, but that's why I didn't like the crazy Aussie.

I would also be glad never to see the dull Stacys again. I wonder what Arthur Stacy's reaction would be to finding out that Gwen apparently gave birth to twins while staying with him in London. Eep! Arthur and Paul had squandered potential. Jill was eye-candy and had no redeemable value even from the beginning.

I didn't care for Billy "Tubular!" Walters. He symbolizes everything about the 90's that makes me groan (Sorry, Todd).

Now that people are mentioning Billy Walters, where the heck is he now?

hey ben_reilly_s_s, you don't think that Ben Reilly counts as part of the supporting cast? Although limited, he did have interactions with the rest of Peter's supporting cast (and not just his own). He saved Flash from a pumpkin bomb while in civvies, actually dated Betty Brant for a little while, was introduced to the rest of them while Pete was sick, and was around Peter and MJ a lot (although you could say that they were HIS supporting cast...but whatever).

I respectfully disagree. :yay: I think Ben Reilly was a main character during the clone-saga with an equal status to Peter Parker. Because he did have his own supporting cast and he was even Spider-Man for a while. During most of the clone saga they seemed to share the spotlight 50-50. How can a book have two main cast members? Kinda like how buddy-films like 'Lethal Weapon' can. (errr... not that I'm comparing a cheesy 80's action film franchise to Spidey)

Yeah, I agree that Ben was also considered a main character and was even THE main character after Sensational #0 with Pete and MJ considered part of his supporting cast. But I'd say that regardless of how the writers actually used him, he's still considered a supporting character post-hoc. Although I guess if we don't consider Johnny Storm or Matt Murdock as part of his supporting cast then it's difficult to make the argument that he can be considered supporting cast.

But DAMNIT! He needs to come back and take his place in the supporting cast!

I never thought've the Clone Saga like a buddy film tho...

I remember him! The quiet Chinese kid from Pete's graduating class in college who got harrassed by the White Dragon.

Yup. A supporting cast member i'd like to see again. Wouldnt mind seeing White Dragon again, either.
