Homeland producers re-team for FX's "Tyrant"

Another good ep. Barry better hope this coop better go smoothly. I have a felling his family is going to die. They, the kids, have barely been in it as of late.

If I was Barry, I just wouldn't feel safe about my daughter being there. I would at least send the kids home.

Thank you!

I'd send my whole family home.

If Barry makes one wrong move they could all end up tortured and executed.

Yeah, he should send them home. Although they may not be safe there either if his enemies have operatives in the U.S.

Any theories why Jamal...

killed his blonde mistress?

Barry is cold now. Hope he takes over and we get to see his reign.

This episode made me feel bad for Jamal.

He must have expressed how loyal he thought his brother was a few dozen times, lol.

Yeah the writers are laying it on pretty thick. Jamal just kept saying how much he trusted his brother, how loyal his brother was, how his brother wouldn't hurt him etc. Not that I mind tho. The writers are doing a bang up job at making me feel conflicted. I know what Jamal is capable of and right now he isn't leadership material but I feel sorry for him. If he finds out his brother betrayed him it's gonna destroy him and probably make him into a real monster who doesn't trust anyone.

I get the feeling that Bassam will end up hurting his wife before this show is done. She'll take the kids or try some power play to keep Bassam from seeing them or something else and he'll do something about it. Uncle is right. Bassam is a killer. He puts on his "Barry face" every day and tries to play the civilized American pediatrician who doesn't condone murder, but you can see the cold tyrant lurking underneath the surface. He may actually believe he is committing the coup for the Country's well being, but he's doing this for himself and he's gonna have to admit that to himself eventually. I'm excited to see the real Bassam show himself.

It's getting pretty good & tense, you do feel kind of bad for Jamal but are quickly reminded that he is ,for all intents & purposes, a true a**hole

I don't think Barry's wife will make it through the series. She'll end up in the middle of the crossfire or by Barry's hands. Either way, I don't think she will get a happy ending.

I think it safe to say that Bassam's family might not make it. At first i thought Molly was just whining, as always, until i heard that she and the kids would end up having to live in protective custody.

Seems like Bassam is slowly becoming the real Tryant of this show.

I can see him ending up with Jamal's wife, and either killing, imprisoning or banishing Jamal.

Yeah, it's interesting to watch. Jamal is a monster in so many ways, yet he truly does love his brother and I think he does want to be a good leader (even though he has no idea how to do it). Barry, in contrast, is trying to do the right thing, but he's so cold towards his brother and everyone else because deep down, he does crave the power and wants to be like his father.

Good to see Justin Kirk being used a bit more. He's a great actor and I'm glad we're seeing more of him.

I think the tipping point for Bassam was when Jamal made him kill the Sheik. I assume Bassam become a doctor as amends for killing that man when he was a boy. He took the hippocratic oath as a way of redeeming himself. Once he killed the sheik, the oath he took as a doctor became null and void, and allowed the killer inside him to re-surface.

Yeah, that's when he realizes he has to get his hands dirty for the "greater good".

Damn, what a finale. We better get a season 2 (though I'm not sure where it can go).

I didn't expect that ending. Hope the show gets renewed. It would suck if it just ends there.

Damn! Damn! Damn!

There better be a season 2..or i'm going to be pissed!

That old guy should have kept his mouth shut and everything would have gone to plan…:(

Yeah, that was too easy :D

And just realized that it was the finale, didn't even notice :D

I thought the sister in-law was going to eff everything up; but it wouldn't have mattered either way.

Since Bassam is now an American citizen, since he's married to Molly, does Jamal have the legal right to execute him under international law?

I think he's on his own. I wouldn't count on the U.S. government to rescue him. I think Jamal will have a change of heart. Leila however wants him dead. A woman's scorn and all that...
