How and when do you want to see the Joker next?

The villains I mentioned may not be in the top of the rogues gallery of Bat villains,But they are still villains in the mythology and Killer Croc/Strange/Hush have been pretty big in the comics&novels in recent years and General Audience members who played the Arkham Games would recognize them!!

IF not these villains and some who are tired of the same big ones used in the past films..Then which villain do you bring on film?A made up one would be total BS!

Oh and no need for sarcasm when the villains I mentioned are on a way higher list than yours!

Lol... that was not sarcasm. I was just joking.

And on a serious note, the films always make up side villains in the form of mob bosses. Something that always seemed strange to me.

In the next reboot series. I can't imagine a Batman series and no Joker.

As early as the third movie of the next iteration of the franchise. Don't need him right away but save him for after we really get a feel of the new Batman. He should definitely be the antithesis of Nicholson and Ledger though. Something new cause I think it's safe to say that The Joker role officially requires that now. For the actor to really bring their own spin to the character. Like Romero like Nicholson and like Hamill & Ledger all did. They could definitely draw more from the current comics (Ie: Morrison's Joker) next time around they have that available to them.

They were all different in their own ways, but I wouldn't really call one an antithesis to another. There's only so much new you can do with an established character, you go too far and it's not the same character anymore. What is the antithesis to Nicholson's and Ledger's Joker? A sane Joker? A humorless Joker? A humane Joker? A Joker who doesn't look like a clown at all?

Maybe antithesis is too strong a word cause that could mean Batman in clown paint ha ha. But no not a sane Joker or one that doesn't look like a clown just one that doesn't act like either of them did either. Just like Nicholson did not emulate Romero even if they shared shallow characteristics and Ledger didn't emulate either of the other and also shared similarities. There has to be a certain "look" in order for it to still be The Joker doesn't mean they have to have identical personalities.

There are influences from the golden age but Ledger actually is not really all that similar to any previous comic incarnation of The Joker when you think of it but it's still very much The Joker. There are influences from the bronze age and silver age but Nicholson's Joker is still very much it's own thing in many regards (Ie: running the mob, stalking a woman).

The Joker is as multifaceted as the Batman there is no "definitive" version so there is a lot to play with without having to ape previous incarnations and still be "The Joker". All it takes is some imagination on the part of the writers, director and the actor. That's what they get paid for.

Mark Hamill is VERY keen to come back to do an animated Killing Joke and has endorsed this petition for it to happen.

Live-action wise, I seriously think Donald Strand from Gotham Public Works could do it. Looks and voice.
