2D? 3D? And for how many times?

For me, I'll watch this in 2D first (May 22 or May 23 or if I get lucky May 21). Then for my 2nd viewing, I will watch it in 2D with my relatives then for the 3rd viewing, I'm not sure if I will watch it in 3D because of the comments I read, so maybe 2D again. So I'm planning to watch it 3 times! :woot:

Also I'm planning to rewatch the first 6 X-Men movies next week.

2D, naturally. Always 2D.

I'll watch it once. If I like it (which I suspect I will), I'll spread the word and also buy the blu-ray, most specialest edition there is.

At least 2 times, I was masterminding how I would go and see it will all my friends separately so I could go several times, but now there are about 8 of us inculding my mum going on midnight release to see it in 3d (it should be okay) then we are going again to see it in 2d which I think I will prefer. and then probably again on my own :'( haha

then probably again on my own :'( haha

There's nothing wrong about that unless you prefer watching movies with someone else. I'm going alone in the 1st viewing because I want my full concentration on the movie.

I am planning to watch it in 3D twice, if I feel that 3D really adds something to the movie. The first time will be with 2 friends and the second time will probably be alone. ;)

Well, I haven't had a press screening invite so - as it stands right now - it will be once on opening night (on my own, probably in a local cinema, possibly in 3D), once in 3D at a big screen, and once in 2D with other half who will dragged along kicking and screaming if necessary...

Unfortunately, a lot has been spoiled on here by people who didn't think about hiding spoilers, so it probably won't be as awesome as it could have been...

Me? I already saw it. :awesome:

Sounds like it was an awesome experience. I'm envious (in a nice way) and feel very happy for you!

I daren't ask if there were any negative aspects to the film, things you didn't like, etc, because I don't want to dent my anticipation. We can all talk about that once it's on wide release.

It was a LONG day (I got on line at 7:30am, and I think it was nearly 10pm when the movie finally started), but it was totally worth it.

I would have to see it again to really pick it apart fairly. Overall I was just thrilled with it. Like with any movie, just don't expect it to be the second coming, because no movie is that. My best description of it was that it felt like X2 and FC combined.

I am glad it is a mix of FC and X2 because that is what I was hoping for, do the two time periods feel separate like singer initially suggested with one being obviously darker.

3D the first time, I have no choice but it will be 2D for second viewing and other viewings after that.:woot:

3D. There aren't many 2D showings here in germany, and the premiere on 21.5. is in 3D. So it's going to be 3D for me.
I never watched a movie more than one time in the cinema. This could be the first time.

2D.

3D just makes the film look darker because of the glasses you have to wear. And 3D films make me focus on the effects rather than the movie itself. Lol.

This isn't coming out in IMAX right? It would've been awesome to watch it in full glory.

I'm not sure if I will watch it in 3D because of the comments I read, so maybe 2D again.

I haven't seen anything - what are the comments you've read about the 3D?

Normally, I don't like seeing movies in 3D. But since this one was shot in 3D, I feel like I'd want to. I will ABSOLUTELY be seeing it in 2D at least, and probably 3 or 4 times in theaters. I really want to break my record (saw X2 9 times...but man I don't have that kind of money).

I'm watching this every way possible and all three days opening weekend.

I think I'll start with 3D on the opening day since it was shot in 3D.

I can't express how terrible 3D is UNLESS its in IMAX. It ruins the picture to me. Its far too dark and blurry in normal theaters.

If the 3D isn't IMAX, then act as if it does not exist! 2D all the way.

The worst part is there are some shots in DOFP that should specifically be seen in 3D too.

if you MUSt see it in 3d, do it AFTER you initially see it in 2D. Well thats my opinion and Im a real stickler for picture quality.

I want 2D. But sometimes if I'm shooting for a specific time that works best for me or the group I'm in we had to take 3D

I think I'm gunna go see it in 2D, I've been seeing everything in 3D lately and I'm kind of ail of it. I'll either take my little brother if he wants to see it or go with my cousin & friends of they're going. Probably only see the movie once, I never see movies in theaters more than once haha. Then download the bluray torrent in a few months hehe.

Watching the day it comes out, probably 2D. Not as much free time as when I was younger unfortunately but will try and watch as many times as I can. When X1 came out I watched it every day of the 1st week it was out. Just as much to support it as the fun of rewatching it as I wasn't in contact with other fans like it's so easy to do today.
