The Dark Knight How awesome was Two-Face's face?

I thought he looked fantastic. A Nolanised version of Tim Sale's Two Face. In fact, in a couple of scenes it was eeriely similar (Side profile in the car with Maroni, and with Ramirez). He looked especially haunting when shrouded in the darkness at the end holding Gordon's family hostage; the way his scarred side was obscured by shadow but you had fleeting glances of the eye and teeth when he moved his head.

TWO-FACE looked outstanding in THE DARK KNIGHT, so much better than Batman forever look of Two-Face .

What I hated most of this version of two-face, and it hit me the moment I first saw him on screen is that his face split is a perfect vertical line down his face yet it was supposed to be from an accidental acid spill. That's some precise trauma.

I was just about to say the same thing. At the time it didn't bother me at all. But now that I look at it with Aaron Eckhart's version of Two Face, what Schumacher did was a complete travesty. The sad thing about it is that Tommy lee Jones could have made a very good Two Face. He is quite an accomplished actor in his own right you know. But Schumacher just wanted to camp everything up and the franchise suffered for it.

What many people are forgetting is that Dent had been lying with half his face in oil/gasoline. So when his face caught fire it was burning alot more fiercely due tot he flammable material on it.

Slightly off topic - for anyone who says Two Face is dead because of the memorial at the end - Gordons death was faked.

Would make sense that he would be kept away from the public in an asylum. The public could never see him like that - better for them to think he was dead.

Aaron Eckhart Isn't getting enough hype. He was really awesome. You couldn't help to like him as Harvey

I thought the look was fantastic. For those that are saying the eye is not realistic because it would have been dried up...give me a break!! If it was realistic, poor old Harvey would never have survived any of the initial burning. With the skin being burned away from his face (exposing underlying muscle, tendons, fascia, etc.) infection would have set in pretty quickly. You can see where you'd have to suspend a little bit of realism with regard to that kind of wound. In light of this, the makeup/CGI effect was spot on.

The look was great and real improvement of how Schumachers Two-Face looked like, his didn't even look burnt at all.

Pictures speak louder than actions....

I actually prefer him dying of infection rather than falling off a building. He could still do all the stuff he did with the cops but also show infection in his face. Still, I thought TDK handled the character well regardless.

Eckhart did a helluva job, made Two-Face one of my favorite characters ever.

And yeah, his face, ****ing amazing.

It is actually one of the best CG creations I've seen. I could have sworn that 50% of it was prosthetic but all of it was CG (except for the top of the head). And yes, the character was written beautifully.

Precise trauma...that made me LOL and wake up half my building :D

But Nolan's look for Two Face was pretty unsettling, in a good way.

Looked too fake. Some kids in a cinema I was watching it in laughed when they first saw it. It looked too cartoony.

Two Face looked awesome. Really creepy just like the comics.

I'm really hoping some of the comments here are jokes, because I have never dry-faced harder in my entire life.

The notion that BF's Two-Face was in any way better than TDK's is utter nonsense, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

Two-Face couldn't have been any more perfect in TDK. Honestly. I remember fondly the first time I saw the film in the cinema, Harvey turns his head in hospital to reveal Two-Face, the gasps I heard or the inhale through clenched teeth. It was beautiful.
I also feel that his origin in this was phenomenal, everything was pitch perfect.

First of all, his EYE.

If your face is completely burned down to the bone, do you REALLY think that your eye would somehow miraculously come out completely unscathed?

Secondly, the bones showing? Was he on fire long enough to actually be burned that bad? No he wasn't. Not even close.

Thirdly, that picture looks NOTHING like his face.

how would you know? they didnt show his face being put out

There's so much more that can be done with Two Face. Killing him was one con of TDK. I wanted a sequel continuation like Dark Victory sort of way and of course a Two Face with a black/white suit like in the new video game. But something like that is too OTT for Nolan. But aside from that, Eckhart was great and definitely brought true justice to Two Face. Of course the Joker is great and that's who everyone talks about but this portrayal will always be in our minds as the best representation we've ever been give on screen. And Eckhart's scarred face look was perfect. I also thought it was mostly prosthetic and makeup effects with just a CG eye and mouth but in actuality 95% was CG.

Dent/Two-Face was my favourite character and acting job in TDK.

Noiw, yes, there's so much more you could do with T-F, but with Joker too and he's not coming back either. And well, there was so much more you could do with Ra's or Scarecrow (the one from the comics, not Nolan's lame approach).
