How did you like the music incorporated with the film?

I agree. especially Dark Phoenix Tragedy and Phoenix Rises. oh and Whirlpool of love.

Those are great! And what about Bathroom Titles and The Last Stand!
A little annoying on the album is that the song Farewell to X and Dark Phoenix's Tragedy are two different songs, now it stops when the music is really loud and then the Farewell to X song starts..

It was boring, forgettable loud and intrusive.

It was essientially the FF score but worse because X-Men aren't supposed to be camp (supposed being the figurative word for this movie).

I thought while overly dark Kaman's score was very powerful. His music makes the climax on the torch the most suspense climax of the three EVERYTIME. He also has that beautiful piece between Rogue and Logan when Logan almost dies saving her (a relationship that was ****ted upon in the third movie). I overall prefer Ottoman's though, his main theme is better. I should note that the Jean theme y'all like is an alteration of his Jean's theme which is based on a Jean character theme.

But after hearing the awesome "hero" theme by Ottoman, I cannot believe they refused to use it instead of going with cheesy, bombastic and totally generic music. Another failure of this film.

And btw X3 was not epic. The closest you'll get to epic is Ottoman's titles theme in X2 or the climax music in X1. X3 was juvinile and generic.

I loved the music, but I think they removed that mystical music that used to play through the Jean/Logan make out scene..

no it was there...it cued a little a later in that scene...actually a few scenes did that where the music from the online clips was still there just broken up or softer or came in a few seconds later in the scenes.
I've seen it twice and I noticed the music was still there.

At the end, my best friend leaned over to me and said he thought the music was awesome!

My reaction was from the beginning i felt like it was misplaced in SEVERAL areas! there were some (musically) whimsical moments where i felt like the mood was supposed to be solemn, and so forth. it was subpar, and i felt like it should have been better! you could tell someone else had taken over. its a shame too! x2 score was terrific! x3 needed more work, another testimony to why studios shouldn't build summer movies BACKWARDS! With music coming last along w/effects, a composer needs time to compose, not FILL!
