Days of Future Past What about the music?

There were some pieces of music missing from the album. For example, the music when Erik infiltrates Shaw's yacht and Xavier and the CIA intervene was missing from the album, and that was a decent piece of action music.

I may be mistaken, but I also think the first shot of Fassbender laying in the bed with the coin isn't on the soundtrack.

Correct. Also, the music when Erik invades the Russian house is missing from the album. We hear some of it in "Mobilize for Russia" but then it cuts off right when it would segue into that music. A little frustrating.

Yeah, that shot I'm talking about is a cool guitar riff on the main Magneto theme. It's neato. :(

Jackman should have squeezed that somewhere at the beginning of "Frankenstein's Monster", it's a shame he didn't.

The x-men films have trouble with keeping their music out of bootlegged hands...give it time, I guarantee first class will have a complete score...the other four did :o

Yeah, it's typical for specific musical moments to be left off of score albums, I'm just shocked they'd leave THAT moment off, since it's the only truly full statement the Mystique theme ever gets. :csad:

I hope Severus is right about a full score leaking at some point.

"Complete scores" are now more commonly getting leaked for some strange reason. For example, the full, complete scores for Batman Begins and The Dark Knight leaked recently and they were amazing. I'm sure the same will happen for X-Men: First Class at some point or another.

Like I said, I own quite literally all the music from the X-Men films, sans first class, and its a MV score...this will be leaked at one point. It is a basic fact.

It was a very good creepy theme, but you have to agree that it wouldn't have meshed well with the Mystique we met in "First Class", her theme in this one is very nice and appropriate for her.
I agree but I meant for the 'first class' sequels. It's be awesome if we could here hints of it as she goes deeper into the dark side. I just think its the perfect theme for mystique and it'll resonate more given that the same theme was played when Mystique infiltrated Cerebro and nearly killed Charles.

Does anyone know the name of the song playing when Moira walked into the casino?

"Palisades Park" by Freddy Cannon

The music in this movie was great. Magneto's theme is fantastic, everytime it plays it gets you jacked and you know something bad is about to happen. The music that starts to play when the x-jet first shows up in Cuba and it continues to play everytime we see the x-men fighting was pretty awesome and I hope that kind of becomes their theme. My favorite piece was the music that started to play as Magneto lifted the sub out of the ocean. So inspirational and uplifting

I still can't accept that he wasn't even a little bit influenced by the Kamen score, he only admitted the "Death Camp" connection, but I really wish the interviewer would have asked if he wrote the Cerebro sequence taking the original one into account.

the reason some might believe he was influenced by kamen is the RC influence. Kamen composed only orchestral, and badelt came in later and added the MV.RC style, and jackman is from RC.

^ I would have accepted that answer, but then again no one asked. Great interview anyway, I loved how he discussed the evolution of the Magneto theme.

The whole soundtrack is amazing as well as the whole movie.

I like the last minute of "Let Battle commence" when Basnhee is about to jump off the plane.

I love "Rage and serenity". It is really an emotional track for an emotional scene.

I get goosebumps when I listen to "Cerebro".
Sub Lift and Magneto themes are epi.

Overrall, the ost really works perfectly with the pacing of the scenes. It is remarkable

It is in the soundtrack. Track #5: Frankenstein's Monster. The one that's missing is when they're looking for other mutants using Cerebro.

Freneknsteins Monster ftw.

But I want to hear the one where hes moving the coin between his fingers already :(.

My favorite score from the movie would have to be Cerebro. It just sounds very intense. I then like how they transitioned from the Cerebro music onto in instrumental version of Gnarles Barkley's "Run".
